Description
[edit]The Firerate Debuff is a debuff applied by enemies that increases a tower's firerate. This debuff does not appear anywhere on the tower.
Mechanics
[edit]The Firerate Debuff effectively is just a negative Firerate Buff, best seen if a tower affected by it has a Firerate Buff. For example, if a tower with a 20% Firerate Buff receives a 15% Firerate Debuff, the Firerate Buff will get reduced to 5%. Similarly, if a tower receives a Firerate Debuff higher than its current Firerate Buff, the icon for it will be removed entirely. For example, if a tower with a 50% Firerate Buff will receive a 60% Firerate Debuff, the icon for the buff will disappear and the tower will end up with a 10% Firerate Debuff.
The firerate affected by the Firerate Debuff is calculated as:
- Original Firerate ÷ (1 + [Firerate Buff - Firerate Debuff])
- where Firerate Debuff and Firerate Buff is the debuff supplied by the enemy in decimal form (for example, 10% is 0.1). If the tower has no Firerate Buff on itself, the number for it should be set to 0.
- Original Firerate ÷ (1 + [Firerate Buff - Firerate Debuff])
The following towers are either partially or fully not affected by the Firerate Debuff:
- All units.
- Firerate of secondary attacks, like the Pursuit's missiles.
- Their main firerate can still be increased.
- Tick of effects applied to enemies.
- The tick of the Accelerator can still be increased.
- The rev-up times of various towers, like the Minigunner or Pursuit.
- Charge-up and cooldown of various burst or burst adjacent attacks, such as the Soldier, Freezer and Accelerator.
- Ability cooldowns.
