April Fools 2022
The April Fools 2022 update was an April Fools joke that was added to the game on the 31st of March 2022, and was removed from the game on the 2nd of April 2022. It randomized the faces, animations, and the sounds of towers, units and enemies. Additionally, it also changed the Commander narrator's icons and dialogue. The icon and thumbnail was also changed into a poorly drawn version of the Entity System Update icon and thumbnail, while the title was changed multiple times.
Faces
The faces of towers, units and enemies were changed into one of the faces below:

The faces used were unique on each server. In one server, a default Scout could use the Man Face, and in another it could use the Woman Face. The face only changes if the tower, unit or enemy has a face. Otherwise, it will remain faceless.
Animations
The animations of towers, units, enemies and emotes were changed into any random animation used in the game. The animation could be any animation used in the game. Due to most enemies, units and towers using R6 while emotes use R15, if they used the animation of an emote, it would not work properly. Similarly, emotes would not work properly when they used an animation of an enemy, unit or a tower that does not use R15. The animations were unique on each server.
Some towers did not have their animations changed. These towers are:
- The Gladiator
- The Slasher
- The Executioner
- The Farm, as it has no animations
- The Military Base's units
- The Crook Boss's units were affected by the animation change.
- The Pursuit
- The Ace Pilot
- The Turret
- The XR500 skin for the Turret was affected by the animation change.
Audio
The audio of towers, units and enemies were changed into any random audio used in the game. The audio could be any audio used in the game. Towers, units and enemies could use currently unused audio, such as the John's Enraging Shout ability audio, or audio from exclusive towers, such as the War Machine. Additionally, there were some sounds that were never heard before in the game, added to the game as part of the April Fools 2022. The audio is unique in each server.
While emotes are affected by animation changes, their music does not change. They will play the intended music.
Narration
The Commander narrator was changed for the April Fools 2022 update. Rather than being a Roblox humanoid, it was a white wolf. Additionally, the dialogue in every gamemode was spoken in furry talk, except the lose dialogue. The wave layout was not changed.

Game Titles
When the April Fools 2022 update was released, the title of the game has changed multiple times. The list of all the titles are:

Trivia
- The Militant and Scout on the thumbnail for the April Fools 2022 update was a reference to the Two Soyjaks Pointing meme.
- The titles "Tower (early) Simulator", "Tower (Very early) Simulator" and "TOWER EARLY SIMULATOR" are a reference to the "Tower Delay Simulator" meme, which started due to the frequent delays that Tower Defense Simulator updates used to have. The developers updated the game early on the 31st of March instead of the 1st of April to mock the meme.
