Skills
Skills are special attributes applied to matches that can affect gameplay. There are four types of Skills: Offensive, Economy, Strategy and Defense. They are unlocked at Level 15.

Fully upgraded Skills
Skills will apply buffs to the player's towers and units. These start off small and linearly become slightly higher. Each Skill has its own level cap, some being as low as 10 and others having up to 40 levels. In the majority of cases, they only apply to the player who has the Skill and not every single player in the match. However, if the thing that the Skill affects is shared by the players, it will function in various ways, like including Skill boosts from every player or only picking the one with the highest Level.
Each Skill will start out very cheap, but it will quickly become far more expensive as the equation for the cost is exponential. It is calculated as:
The result is first rounded down then rounded to the nearest multiple of 5.
The total cost to fully upgrade every Skill is Coin 824,070. To have every single Skill available to upgrade, the player has to purchase every single Skill except Precision, Scavenger, Scholar, Re-enforcements and Beefed Up Minions, and level them up to Level 10, which would have a total cost of Coin 48,195. The lowest amount of currency required to have every Skill for a specific path unlocked will be listed separately in each Skill section.
After the player unlocks a Skill from a specific path, a modifier for that path will appear, applying the effects for the player. The description of the modifier will list every single Skill owned and how much it boosts specific statistics.
In the Settings, it is possible to disable Skills with the Skills Enabled setting.
Hidden Wave cannot be activated with skills enabled. Certain modes, like Voidcore or PVP, also disable Skills.
Resetting Skills
[edit]If the player is unsatisfied with what Skills they spent their currency on, they have the option to reset their Skills. While this will not bring back their Coin Coins, it will give them back in the form of Skill Credit Skill Credits. These are a unique currency only usable for Skills. The player is only given back 95% of what they spent, and they have to pay Coin 200 to reset Skills. Each reset will become more expensive by Coin 200.
After resetting, Skills are unable to be upgraded using Coin Coins, they are restricted to only Skill Credit Skill Credits. Once the player has run out of possible upgrades, the method of upgrading Skills is Coin Coins again.

Each enemy hit by a tower counts as a shot. For example, each enemy hit by the Electroshocker's lightning increases the hit counter. Does not stack with critical hits from the Brawler or Warden, but does stack with Slasher's crits. Some splash towers, these being the Paintballer, Demoman, Rocketeer, Mortar and Snowballer cannot crit either, but other towers like the Firework Technician can crit. Secondary attacks like Pursuit's missiles do not work, with the exception of the Swarmer's Bee Swarm Grenade, Elementalist's Heatwave and Archer's explosion. Damage over time does not crit. Units are unable to deal crits. The Accelerator, Trapper and DJ Booth are also unable to crit.

- Skills added.
- Bug: Units will have decimal health when affected by Beefed Up Minions.
- Bug: Enhanced Optics will cause the range statistic of towers to show inaccurate range, making it look like the range is boosted by Expanded Barracks instead. The range visuals and the actual area towers attack enemies in are, however, not boosted by the Expanded Barracks, they are correctly boosted based on what Enhanced Optics is upgraded to.
- Bug: Enhanced Optics Range Buff will be visually the same for every player as you, even though in reality every player has their own Enhanced Optics Range Buff applied.
- Bug: Precision is always active, even when Skills are disabled or when the player does not even have it unlocked.
- Bug: Scavenger is always active, even when Skills are disabled or when the player does not even have it unlocked.
- Bug: Bigger Budget sometimes will not apply its starting cash boost.
- Bug: Fortify can bypass mode base health limits.
- Bug: Fortify, Over-Heal and Bandages do not pick the Skill of the player which has it upgraded to the highest Level, but instead the latest player.
