User blog:TinyGhostGamer87/Militant Rework Concept
- "Trained with an assault rifle, this tower deals good damage but has to reload when it runs out of ammo."
- ―Inventory Description
Description
editThe Militant, formerly known as John, is a starter tower that costs 750 to buy from the store, but can also be obtained by purchasing the Starter Bundle. It could also be obtained from a now expired code.
The Militant will attack enemies with a fast firerate, dealing low damage. When the Militant uses up all its ammo by firing enough shots, it has to reload for a couple of seconds, then it can attack again.
The Militant can be considered a Jack-of-all-Trades tower in easier modes and an early to mid game tower in more difficult modes due to its moderate damage and relatively cheap placement cost and upgrades.

Stats Table
editNOTE: Stats tables in TinyGhostGamer87’s blogs don’t consider the Firerate Bug and so will display a less accurate depiction of what stats like Firerate and DPS would be.

Strategy
edit- The Militant is useful in the early to mid game due to its cheap placement and upgrade prices.
- It is also fairly useful in the late game of easier modes as it has decent DPS. Be aware that it may need support from other offensive towers to deal high amounts of damage to enemies.
- The Militant’s high placement limit makes it relatively spammable.
- Spamming Level 0-1 Militants is advisable as they are cost efficient compared to other levels. Level 3 Militant spam is also effective but it is the least cost efficient level.
- Even then, Level 3 is only a few cash behind in terms of cost efficiency.
- Spamming Level 0-1 Militants is advisable as they are cost efficient compared to other levels. Level 3 Militant spam is also effective but it is the least cost efficient level.
- When it uses up all of its ammo, the Militant will have to reload.
Trivia
edit- The Militant is the first tower rework concept blog post made by TinyGhostGamer87.
- It is also the first blog post that isn’t a tower concept, rather a concept for a rework of an already existing tower.
- The renders used in the tower infobox and the upgrades are the upgrades of the Acheron skin for the Militant.
- This was done because TinyGhostGamer87 thought it would make for a good reworked Militant model. He has made a comment about that.
- The Militant rework is directly based on the ammo and reloading mechanic that existed between the Frost Invasion and Entity System updates.
- This is the first blog post by TinyGhostGamer87 to use references.
- However, this is the case simply because he copy and pasted a stats table.

Notes
edit- ↑ DPS is calculated as (Damage × Ammo) ÷ (Reload Time + (Firerate × Ammo)).
