Description

The Molten Monster is a Legendary consumable. Upon use, the Molten Monster will be summoned on the path.

The Molten Monster has a use limit of one per player during a single match.

Methods of Obtaining

1. The Holiday Crate
   • A 0.83% chance without VIP+
   • A 1.17% chance with VIP+.
2. Triumphing Fallen mode, Pizza Party, Badlands II or Polluted Wasteland II.
   • Provides a 0.47% chance of obtainment.
3. Completing the Commander in Chief achievement.
   • Gives two Molten Monsters.
4. Triumphing Outpost 32 on the Hard difficulty.
   • Provides a 5% chance of obtainment.
5. Playtime Rewards' High Grade Chest.
   • Provides a 1% chance of obtainment per chest.
6. The Operation I.C.E Battle Pass
   • Rewarded at level 33 for the regular track.
   • Rewarded at levels 8, 18, 23 and 36 for the premium track.
7. The Ducky Revenge Battle Pass
   • Rewarded at level 33 for the regular track.
   • Rewarded at levels 8, 18, 23 and 36 for the premium track.
8. The Surf & Turf Battle Pass
   • Rewarded at level 33 for the regular track.
   • Rewarded at levels 8, 18, 23 and 36 for the premium track.

Usage

When using the Molten Monster, it summons one Molten Monster from the exit. This unit can tank high amounts of enemies, as well as occasionally attack them with its claws at close range or fire fireballs at them, both attacks setting them on fire, which also drops their defense through burn. The unit has 20,000 health and walks slowly across the entire path. When enemies are nearby, it will stop to attack them. It will shoot fireballs at enemies in its larger main range of 50. When enemies are in its smaller, secondary range of 12, it will attack them with its claws.

Strategy

• The Molten Monster spawned can be helpful on the final wave, killing most or all of the enemies that spawn allowing your towers to focus solely on the boss.
• The Molten Monster can also be used in earlier waves, to allow players to focus on farming and building up defenses instead.
• It is best to use the Molten Monster on a longer path, to ensure that as much of its ability is used at once.

Trivia

• The Molten Monster is the second Legendary consumable in the game, with the first being the Nuke.
  • Similar to the Nuke, the Legendary rarity has its text colored yellow, unlike the typical purple Legendary rarity.
