Description

The Showtime Crate is a crate that could have been bought for 199, depending on region. It was originally released in conjunction with The Final Act Event before being taken off sale in v2.7.0. This crate yields cinema-themed skins.

Appearance

The Showtime Crate is a black-and-white wooden chest with comedy and tragedy masks at the front. It has a bowtie lock which can be opened.

Methods of Obtaining

1. Previously purchasable in the store for 199.
   • This could be repeated multiple times.
2. Had a chance of 13.39% to obtain in triumphing Frost mode.
3. Had a chance to obtain in triumphing Hardcore mode.
4. Had a chance to obtain in triumphing Voidcore mode.
5. Had a chance of 20% to obtain in triumphing The Narratorium on Hard difficulty.

Trivia

• The Showtime Crate was released in conjunction with The Final Act Event and had a complicated history regarding its status as a permanent or limited time crate.
  • BelowNatural initially referred to a skin from the crate as coming from an event crate. At the time of the release of the update, the Discord announcement also referred to them as event crates.
  • Once the crate came out a few contributors referred to it as permanent, which eventually was shown to not be true by the v1.85.0 update log announcing it as disappearing with The Final Act Event on the 2nd of March 2026 while the Discord announcement listed it as the 25th of February 2026.
  • Once The Final Act Event event disappeared, the crate was not actually taken offsale, and few months later on the 9th of May 2026, it would also get recategorized from Event to Default in the inventory, suggesting it was actually made permanent.
  • It would for once be shown it was not permanent in v2.7.0 where it was suddenly taken offsale.
    • Weirdly enough, the not owned skins still appear in the inventory as locked despite the crate being offsale.
