Description
[edit]Fallen mode, formerly called Insane mode, is one of the six main survival modes. Fallen mode has 40 waves. When the Hidden Wave is activated it has 42 waves. The mode is named after the Fallen enemies that appear throughout it.
Cash is only gained if an enemy is killed, or in some cases, damaged by a specific amount of health. Additionally, the amount gained is a set amount of cash, which is not always equal to the enemy's health. It uses a slightly different method of distributing cash between players, as enemies split their cash between players, regardless of how much damage the player dealt to it. If, in a duo, one player does all the damage to an enemy, both players will receive 50% of the cash the enemy would normally give in solo. This means that in solo, you receive 100% of the cash when an enemy is killed, or it is damaged enough. With each additional player, this is reduced to 50% in duo, 33% in trio and 25% in quad. If it is a decimal, it gets rounded up or down depending on the decimal value. If it is at least 0.5, it gets rounded up. If it is less than 0.5, it gets rounded down.
The health of enemies in this mode scales with the player count, starting at two players. The increase is 15% in duo, 25% in trio and 40% in quad. It is applied after attributes, like Bloated, meaning they can affect the health of an enemy. The increase is not always the stated amount.
You can activate the Hidden Wave by following these certain steps:
- Every player has to disable Skills before starting the match.
- After voting Fallen mode, sending separate messages that contain these numbers in the chat: "120", "1" and "1009". On the last number, the screen will flash and a noise will play.
- The base health should be set to one before reaching to Wave 40.
- Defeat the Fallen King under 60 seconds without using consumables on Wave 40. If done successfully instead of dropping its sword and vanishing in a beam of light, it will survive, but smashing the ground enraged and retreating with its sword.
- After completing Hidden Wave, the icon of Fallen mode on the difficulty select screen will change to the Awakened Fallen King.
Rewards
[edit]For former rewards, see this mode's Rewards page.
The game calculates how many Coin Coins and Experience EXP you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more Experience EXP (Friday – Sunday), any Experience EXP earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any Experience EXP earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Some maps like Mason Arch can also increase all rewards by a specific amount. Regular Experience EXP boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers.
Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.
Rewards are calculated as:
| Coins Reward | EXP Reward | Tower EXP Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Coin 700 ÷ (1 + [(40 ÷ Current Wave) - 1]^2.4) + Coin 650 (Triumph Bonus) | Experience 200 EXP ÷ (1 + [(40 ÷ Current Wave) - 1]^2) + Experience 50 EXP (Triumph Bonus) | Template:TowerExp ÷ (1 + [(40 ÷ Current Wave) - 1]) + Template:TowerExp (Triumph Bonus) |
Triumphing Fallen mode can give out an additional reward, which can be a crate, consumable or ticket. They are meant to be guaranteed, though due to a bug this does not always happen. Beach Crate, Scuba Ops Crate and Patriotic Crate are also part of this, though it is not known which rarity they are in. These items are:
- Common (47.39%)
- Time Scale Ticket Time Scale Ticket (2-4)
- Revive Ticket Revive Ticket (2-3)
- Spin Ticket Spin Ticket (2-3)
- Low Grade Crate
- Barricade (2-4)

Wave Structure
[edit]Currently, Fallen Mode has two wave bonuses, based on the current wave. Between waves 1 to 30, the wave bonus is calculated as:
- CashScript error: No such module "Money". + ([Waves Completed - 1] × CashScript error: No such module "Money".)^1.03
Between waves 31 and 40, it is calculated as:
- CashScript error: No such module "Money". + ([Waves Completed - 1] × CashScript error: No such module "Money".)^1.07
Depending on player count, the wave bonus is reduced using multipliers. These multipliers are:
| Players | Reduction per Player | Total Reduction |
|---|---|---|
| Solo | 0% | 0% |
| Duo | 16% | 32% |
| Trio | 13% | 39% |
| Quad | 10% | 40% |
For example, on Wave 2, the wave bonus is CashScript error: No such module "Money"., rounded down to CashScript error: No such module "Money".. The full number is used in the equation. In duo, it is CashScript error: No such module "Money". (CashScript error: No such module "Money". × 0.68), in trio, it is CashScript error: No such module "Money". (CashScript error: No such module "Money". × 0.61), while in quad it is CashScript error: No such module "Money". (CashScript error: No such module "Money". × 0.6). The wave clear bonus appears when every enemy from that wave was killed and no damage was dealt to the base health. It is 40% of the wave bonus in solo, while for duo, trio and quad it is 20%.
Before 2nd of August 2024, the formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave was:
- (CashScript error: No such module "Money". + (Waves Completed - 1) × CashScript error: No such module "Money".) × (1 - 0.1 × Players)
The wave clear bonus appears when every enemy from that wave was killed. It is 35% of the wave bonus in solo, while for duo, trio and quad it is 20%.
Before 23rd of May 2024, the formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave is:
- (CashScript error: No such module "Money". + (CashScript error: No such module "Money". × Waves Completed)) ÷ Players
Before the Overhaul Update, it was calculated as:
- (CashScript error: No such module "Money". - 4 × (Players - 1)) × Waves Completed
The waves in Fallen mode follow these timings:
| Waves | Wave Timer | Skip Time[10] |
|---|---|---|
| 1-15 | 1:00 | 0:20[11] |
| 16 | 1:20 | 0:26[12] |
| 17 | 1:00 | 0:20[11] |
| 18-19 | 1:15 | 0:25[13] |
| 20-22 | 1:00 | 0:20[11] |
| 23 | 1:15 | 0:25[13] |
| 24 | 1:00 | 0:20[11] |
| 25 | 1:10 | 0:23[14] |
| 26 | 1:15 | 0:25[13] |
| 27-29 | 1:00 | 0:20[11] |
| 30-34 | 1:20 | 0:26[15] |
| 35 | 0:20 | 0:06[16] |
| 36 | 0:35 | 0:11[17] |
| 37 | 0:40 | 0:13[18] |
| 38 | 3:00 | 1:00[19] |
| 39 | 2:00 | 0:40[20] |
| 40 | ∞ | N/A |
Bolded names indicates an enemy type's debut.
The total of enemies in Fallen Mode excluding summoned enemies is 854 enemies.

Trivia
[edit]- The Legacy Hidden Wave could have been activated in Fallen mode by beating the game in 1,009 seconds (16:49) or under.
- Originally, another theme was supposed to play in the late game waves of this mode,[22] that being Duality. However, the loop audio was not accepted by Roblox as it was deemed too "high pitched".[23] Only the intro got accepted.[24]
- The only time the track was played was in the trailer for Fallen mode.
