This thing can't get through! - ―Commander dialogue on Wave 9 (The Takeover Event, Extreme)
Description
The Fallen Giant is a tanky enemy that appears in Fallen and Fallen Arena PVP modes. It also appeared in The Takeover Event. It has a high amount of health and decently fast for the amount of health it has. It is a Boss enemy when it first spawns in Fallen mode.
Logbook Description
"Fallen Giants were the kingdom's most honored guardians. They stood watch over the throne room, where they witnessed the Queen's sacrifice. They are vessels of magic lacking free will, and the curse only magnified their power. Massive in size, they make for great defenders and one could tell a Giant was coming by the shaking of the ground upon each step."
Appearance
The Fallen Giant is a large, hulking entity with black skin. It has multiple blue cracks in its body. It wears a torn, off-white coat, cyan-grey gloves and has strange tubing and devices on its head. Its skull is partially exposed and it has a knife on its back.
Strategy
- The Fallen Giant is quite a step-up in difficulty compared to other enemies that debut before it. Despite not having defense by default at all, its high health and relatively early arrival make up for this.
- Using high, relatively affordable DPS towers, such as the Engineer, Hunter, Ranger and Golden Minigunner can be sufficient to take this enemy down.
- The DJ Booth, Commander and Mercenary Base can be used to boost these towers.
- On Wave 25, three Fallen Giant's appear along with the debut of the Fallen Jester. This combo is extremely deadly due to the Fallen Jester's Devious Tricks ability that can give the Fallen Giants Bloated and Blessed, greatly buffing them. In total, all three of them with Bloated have a combined health of 24,000, as well as 100% defense from the Blessed attribute.
- You should use high DPS towers such as the Turret, Ranger and Accelerator to focus on the Fallen Giants and a few focused on the Fallen Jester. Because the Fallen Jester is faster, it is best to set some towers to First and the rest to Strongest or Last to maximize the damage potential.
- The Saboteur can be used to force your towers to target the Fallen Jesters.
- The Fallen Giant has the Stun Immunity, making it only get slowed down by stuns and making it fully immune to knockback.
- Do note however that certain forms of stalling, like freeze or some specific cases like the Confusion Ducky, the duration of the stall will be shorter due to its larger size.
