Description

[edit]

The Molten Necromancer is a summoner enemy that appears in Molten mode. It also appeared in The Takeover Event. Additionally, while it does not spawn there naturally, it can also be sent by a player in Molten Arena PVP. It has a decent amount of health, being close to half of the Molten Golem's health and it walks at about the same speed as the Molten.

It has a single ability, where it summons two Molten Demons. These have a 30% chance to be Nimble.

Appearance

[edit]

The Molten Necromancer has completely crimson skin, with dark crimson bands on its right arm and legs. It has two heads, each with one eye and multiple teeth. Its left arm has been burnt, turning its color into charcoal black. It wears two black chains which form an X on its torso and a brown belt, which has two skulls with glowing eyes attached to it. It carries a molten scythe.

Strategy

[edit]
  • The Molten Necromancer can be a threat when it first appears, as it can summon many Molten Demons if not killed quickly, creating hordes, especially in groups.
    • Early game towers like the Cowboy, Militant, Military Base or Ace Pilot can take care of the Molten Necromancer quite quickly.
    • High DPS towers like the Turret, Minigunner and Crook Boss can also be quite useful.
      • Do note that the Accelerator, if locked onto the Molten Necromancer or other strong enemies, will ignore the Molten Demons the Molten Necromancer summons until the targeted enemy is defeated or leaves its range.
      • The Ranger may struggle against the hordes of Molten Demons the Molten Necromancer summons due to its slow firerate. Additionally, it will be unable to attack its summons as they are Hidden.
    • Area of effect towers, like the Mortar, Rocketeer and Tesla can be quite useful as they can damage both the Molten Necromancer and the Molten Demons it summons.
  • Do note that you do not earn any money from the summoned enemies.
