Description

[edit]

The Frost Hunter is a strong enemy that appears in the Frost mode. Like most of that mode's enemies, it first appeared in the Operation I.C.E Event. It is effectively a stronger version of the Snow Minion, as it has higher health, Defense and faster speed. Its ability is similarly also made stronger, as it deals more damage and freezes towers instead of debuffing them, allowing it to affect more towers.

Logbook Description

[edit]

"Frost Hunters are some of the most ferocious units in the Frost Spirit’s army. Talented spear throwers, they ruthlessly hunt down their targets, strategizing in groups to corner them before making their move. The sharp spikes on their shoulder pad are used to charge their enemies in battle. They throw javelins at towers and units."

Appearance

[edit]

The Frost Hunter is an entity with blue skin. It is a warrior which wears a grey and blue helmet, chestplate, shoes and leg padding. It also wears a brown glove on its left arm, a blue ice shoulder-pad on its left arm and a blue cape with ice on the edges. It wields a blue javelin made entirely out of ice, which it throws at towers to stun them and at units to damage them.

Strategy

[edit]
  • Towers with decent or high DPS, like the Turret, Kingpin, Accelerator or Ranger can be used to take this down.
    • The Frost Hunter only targets one tower or unit at a time. Therefore, groups of towers and units are preferred here, as they will be far less affected by its single target ability.
    • While capable of freezing any tower that is immune to stuns, it will not target any tower which has the Stun Immunity visible on its upgrade menu.
      • Because of this, towers like the Pursuit and Brawler are still technically immune to its attack as they will not be targeted, but other forms of stun immunity like the Medic's shield will not protect towers from the freeze.
  • Its Defense can be reduced by towers like the Pyromancer, Toxic Gunner or Electroshocker.
