Null Crook Boss was previously removed from the game on the 26th of November 2025 as it was part of the Null & Void Event, though it has been made available through the Sandbox mode.
It is not accessible anywhere else in the game, aside from in Sandbox Mode. This page will attempt to include information about both the version before removal and its re-added version.

Description

The Null Crook Boss, internally referred to as the Corrupted Crook Boss, was a summoner enemy that appeared in Outpost 16, Banlands and Blind Faith as part of the Null & Void Event. It had higher health than the Null Scout, though it is slower than it.

Upon death, it spawned a Null Goon, which was a Hidden enemy with lower health but faster speed.

It can be spawned by the Null Commander, which gives it a Defense of 50%.

Logbook Description

"Null Crook Boss entered the realm with his Goons in tow. For Crook Boss, it was like a rival gang stepping into his territory. He adjusted his hat; the Null Crook Boss straightened his jacket. Standing face to face, they stared each other down clutching their weapons, and in a flash, they all drew."

Appearance

The Null Crook Boss is a corrupted version of the Crook Boss. It has black skin and wears a black suit with a purple shirt and tie. On its head, it wears a black fedora, black goggles and purple bandanna.

Event Strategy

As this enemy only appears through Sandbox mode, no strategy section is made for its current version. Instead, a strategy section for the one that appeared without Sandbox mode in Outpost 16, Banlands and Blind Faith is listed instead.

• As the Null Crook Boss spawns in a Hidden enemy on death and on some waves, has that attribute itself, strong towers with hidden detection are recommended against this.
  • The Golden Scout, Rocketeer or Military Base can be used against this.
  • The Hacker can be used to convert the Null Crook Boss upon death, preventing it from summoning a Null Goon.
• Various methods of giving towers detections can also be used to combat this.
  • The Ace Pilot and Firework Technician can be used to give towers hidden detection.
  • The Sun can be used to give every tower all detections, however, do note it also makes the enemies immune to stun, freeze and burn.
