Description

The Unknown Boss, in-game displayed with randomly generated zalgo, is an enemy that appears in Hardcore and Voidcore modes. It also appeared in Containment as part of the Hexscape Event, in the Nil Zone as part of the Halloween 2025 Live Events and in the Nil Zone II as part of the Halloween 2026 Live Events. It has a high amount of health and average speed. It has Stun Immunity, meaning it cannot be stunned.

It has one ability, where upon death, it creates a 20 radius explosion which applies a 60% Fatigue Debuff (27.27% DPS loss) to towers that lasts 4.5 seconds. Additionally, it will also spawn in one Unknown Small with Nimble.

Logbook Description

"It’s unknown what the Unknown Boss is. What is known is that it is a cursed version of the Unknown, granted by the Void Caster — though the Void Caster herself does not know what the Unknown used to be known as, and whether the Unknown could be known is still, currently, unknown. The Elite Unknown chooses to scatter itself throughout the vastness of the Void and is usually found alone. There is not much to understand about it aside from its ability to create an internal supernova. It is taller than the Slow King and can, at random, create a smaller Unknown. Why? It’s unknown. What is known is that the Unknown Boss knows this, and would rather it stayed that way."

Appearance

The Unknown Boss is a deep purple corrupted entity. It emits glitch particles and has fingers on its hand. It has multiple small humanoids on its body.

Strategy

• High DPS towers like the Juggernaut, Engineer and Accelerator are recommended to deal with this enemy, as it has quite a high amount of health.
  • Supports towers like the Commander, DJ Booth or Medic can be used to boost their DPS.
• As the Unknown Boss applies a debuff, most forms of immunities towards enemy attacks do not work against it.
  • Top path Juggernaut can be used to reduce the duration of debuffs.
