Description
[edit]Totality Tower was the event map for the fourth night of the Solar Eclipse Event, and was the final map of the Solar Eclipse Event. Like other event maps, this map had a specialized wave structure with special enemies. Players started with CashScript error: No such module "Money". (CashScript error: No such module "Money". if the player joined the Paradoxum Games group) at the start of the game. Upon triumphing, you were awarded with Coin 150, Experience 50 EXP, Shard 240 Solar Shards and the Executioner on the first triumph. Losing on wave 16 awarded Coin 50, Experience 50 EXP, and Shard 200 Solar Shards instead. This map used The Umbra and the Commander as Narrators.
Design and Path
[edit]Totality Tower was the interior of a large clockwork tower. Numerous gears were scattered around the map, some protruding from the walls, some on the walls and others laying on the ground. Scaffolding was also scattered about, being able to act as cliff space for towers. Crates and barrels also appeared throughout. The Umbra is walking on the upper floor of this building, disappearing on wave 16 after spawning as the boss.
The path started at a large doorway and ended at an open building with an interactable Star Cannon on top of it. The path went straight and took a square loop which leads into another loop opposite of it. After that, the path went straight and turned to the right, which led to another right turn. The path then took two more turns to the left before going straight as it lead into the exit.
Interactive Map
[edit]Map source code page "<a href="/w/Map:Totality_Tower?action=edit&redlink=1" class="new" title="Map:Totality Tower (page does not exist)">Map:Totality Tower</a>" does not exist.
Story
[edit]After defeating Penumbras, the T.D.S. Organization finally enters the Totality Tower, where they face off against The Umbra. T.D.S. Organization agents, which consist of the Scout, Gladiator and Commander fight her forces, including a reanimated version of the Jaxe, and eventually defeat The Umbra, making her disintegrate.
Rewards
[edit]The game calculated how much Coin Coins and Experience EXP you received based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 50% more Experience EXP (08:00 UTC Friday – 08:00 UTC Sunday), any Experience EXP earned was multiplied by 1.5x. The VIP gamepass also multiplied any Experience EXP earned by 1.25x.
Any rewards that ended in a decimal point was rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.
Rewards were calculated as:
| Currency | Equation |
|---|---|
| Coin Coins | Coin 50 × (Waves/16)^1.75 + Coin 100 (Triumph Only) |
| Experience EXP | Waves 0-9: Experience 1.5625 EXP × Waves Waves 10-16: Experience 3.125 EXP × Waves |
| Shard Solar Shards | Shard 200 × (Waves/15)^1.75 + Shard 40 (Triumph Only) |
Badges
[edit]There is also one badge which you could obtain when playing on this map, which had additional rewards alongside the badge. It is:
Wave Structure
[edit]Formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave was:
- (CashScript error: No such module "Money". + (CashScript error: No such module "Money". × Waves Completed)) ÷ Players
The waves in Totality Tower could not be skipped. They followed these timings:
| Waves | Wave Timer |
|---|---|
| 1-9 | 1:00 |
| 10 | 1:40 |
| 11-14 | 1:00 |
| 15 | 1:20 |
| 16 | N/A |
Bolded names indicates an enemy type's debut.
Strategy
[edit]- Due to the large amount of enemies with high health that spawn on this map, you need to use high DPS towers, such as the Minigunner, Ranger, Turret or Accelerator.
- It is recommended to use slowing towers like the Toxic Gunner or Sledger, as many enemies have fast speed and high health, like the Cursed Horse and Lunar Shield.
- The Mortar and Pursuit can be used as an effective way to deal with the Clankers that spawn early on during the game.
- Later on during the game, towers like the Accelerator and Ranger can deal with the Clankers and Mega Clankers that spawn.
- It is recommended to use the Ranger to kill the Bat spawned by the Vampire, which is a Flying enemy.
- The Minigunner and Crook Boss can be used to kill the Wraiths that spawn early on.
- The Ace Pilot and Pursuit are useful on this map, as it has multiple loops.

[edit]Trivia
[edit]- This map's path was similar to the Monkey Meadow's path from Bloons Tower Defense 6.
- This map is the first map to have interactable objects, specifically the Star Cannon and the accompanying Charge. The second map to have interactable objects is D00M's Revenge.
- This is the first map to have more than one Narrator, with them being The Umbra and the Commander.
- This is the first map to have three lanes.
- Additionally, this is the second event map to have more than one lane, with the first being Outpost 32 from the Frost Invasion Event.
- Originally, this map was supposed to have 20 waves. It was changed to 16 waves upon release.
- Additionally, the difficulty was changed from Hard to Insane upon release.
- The Path of Totality ambience music in-game was different from the one that was uploaded to Youtube. The song uploaded to Youtube includes a choir, while the in-game version lacks it entirely.
- This map was also used as background for v1.27.0 thumbnail and promotional images.
- There are multiple audios which were meant to, at one point, play on this map. However, they never played. These are:
| Audio | Dialogue |

| File:Night4Unused1.ogg | "You're quite the playful one, I am sure to enjoy your despair more." |
