Description
[edit]Midnight Issue is a map officially added in the v1.81.0 update.
Design & Path
[edit]Midnight Issue is located on the table of a giant cabin in the woods. Through the exit to the outside, it is possible to see that the map takes place during Winter, as the ground is entirely covered in snow. Inside the cabin, there are various objects placed in it, like a bookshelf, fireplace, coat hanger, table and a few seats. Two doors, one open can be seen on the other side of the cabin and a hatch can be seen on the floor. On the walls of the cabin, there are also various shelves containing random props and multiple paintings, though all of them except one are just simple colors.
The entrance is an opened stood up lighter box with a scribble on the front of the box. The path is made out of blocky bricks, like in Toyboard. The path starts off straight and then does a 180 degree loop, to enter back into itself just like in Crossroads, then takes one left turn, one right turn, and one final right turn and then into a straight line which leads to the exit. The exit is a cookie held up by several lego bricks.
Interactive Map
[edit]Rewards
[edit]The game calculates how many Error creating thumbnail: File missing Coins, Error creating thumbnail: File missing Gems and Error creating thumbnail: File missing EXP you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more Error creating thumbnail: File missing EXP (Friday – Sunday), any Error creating thumbnail: File missing EXP earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any Error creating thumbnail: File missing EXP earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Regular Error creating thumbnail: File missing EXP boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers present on this map.
Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.
Strategy
[edit]- The loop near the entrance is the ideal spot for most towers.
- The loop is a decent spot for the Ace Pilot, due to it matching its circle path quite well.
- There is a small section of the path that crosses over one spot twice, which can be very useful for low range towers like the Assassin, Slasher or Shotgunner.
- Towers with higher range, like the Ranger or Necromancer, should be placed around the center of the map, as their high range allows them to cover most or all of the path.

Trivia
[edit]- Midnight Issue was not mentioned anywhere in the v1.80.0 update log, as it was added in an update early.
- An image of the Uncanny Cat can be found peeking through one of the doors.
- On the fireplace, there are a few trophies, which include various Bloxy awards.
- While most paintings on the map are just simple colors, one of them above the fireplace has a mysterious figure with white glow coming out of it.
- This was the first and the only map to have Medium difficulty.
- This is no longer the case as of v1.83.7, as the difficulty was reverted back to Normal, meaning no map with such difficulty exists.
