Description

[edit]

Retro Zone is a nostalgic map that is reminiscent of the starting days of the internet and early Roblox.

Retro Zone has the All Paths modifier, which duplicates most enemies that spawn.

Rewards

[edit]

The game calculates how many Coin Coins, Gem Gems and Experience EXP you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more Experience EXP (Friday – Sunday), any Experience EXP earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any Experience EXP earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Regular Experience EXP boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers present on this map.

Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Strategy

[edit]
  • The middle of the map is the ideal spot for towers, as it allows them to cover both paths at once.
    • Towers with high range, such as the Turret, Mortar, Ranger or Pursuit, are useful here, as multiple towers are not able to cover both paths particularly well.
      • The DJ Booth can help out by boosting the range of your towers.
  • Cliff towers should be placed on the giant spire, as they can cover most of the path from that spot.

Trivia

[edit]
  • One of the PC monitors in the first version of the map has the infamous Blue screen of death that was found when the system crashed in Windows 1.0.
  • A part of the first version of this map is similar to the album cover of Floral Shoppe, a vaporwave album, resembling part of the synthwave aesthetic of the map.
  • An old version of Microsoft Paint can be seen on this map, specifically one used on Windows 98.
  • The giant spire present on this map is based on the spires from the Doomspire Brickbattle game on Roblox.
  • The red house that acts as the exit for one of the paths is a house which appeared in older Roblox starter places.
  • The small structures seen in certain parts are a reference to gear givers which could be seen in older Roblox games.
