Description

Medieval Times is a map that represents a village in the Middle Ages. Over the time it has been in the game, it has been significantly remade multiple times.

Design & Path

The current version of Medieval Times is a village with fourteen wooden houses. Several wooden fences, barrels, trees and rocks are scattered across the map. Wooden lanterns are also by the path. A well and a wooden cart with hay bales on the back can also be found on the map. Multiple grass small hills are dotted around the map.

The yellow pebble path begins and ends at a cave. The path takes multiple turns, avoiding the houses.

The third version of Medieval Times was an island with six wooden houses seen around the island. Several wooden gates and trees were scattered across the map. Lanterns were also by the path. The entire map was on an island surrounded by water. Several grass hills and trees were dotted around the map, with a significant hill range spanning the south of the island (with the entrance being the north).

The brown stone path began at a cave and ended at an open area with hay bales. It took an indirect route to avoid the houses and the large hill range.

The second version of Medieval Times was identical to the third version, except baseplate water surrounded the map, instead of terrain water.

The first version of Medieval Times was a compact Medieval Village, which consisted of seven houses with some trees, wells and a two stone arcs near a cliff by three of the houses. Other hills and pitched tents could be seen around the map.

The brown stone path began and ended at two caves inside two of the hills. It took a circular route around the map.

Rewards

The game calculates how many CoinCoins, GemGems and Experience EXP you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 50% more Experience EXP (Friday – Sunday), any Experience EXP earned is multiplied by 1.5x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any Experience EXP earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Regular Experience EXP boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers present on this map.

Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Difficulty reward scaling for survival mode Coins and Exp is 1x.

Strategy

  • The main placement of ground towers should be near the middle of the map, where most of the cliffs are located.
    • This area is also useful for cliff towers, as it has a few cliffs which are somewhat close to each other.
  • When placed on the cliffs near the middle of the map, cliff towers can cover a large amount of the path.
    • Cliff towers can cover even more of the path.

Trivia

Level 0 Gladiator seen farming in second and third versions of Medieval Times.
  • The Gladiator could have been seen farming on the second and third versions of this map, supposedly on vacation.
    • This was intended as a joke as the Gladiator was unable to be used between the 13th of October 2019 and the 29th of November 2019.
      • This Easter egg was still in the map regardless of the fact that the Gladiator can be used again until 4th of February 2023, when Medieval Times received a remake.
    • Despite the Gladiator getting its skin color and face changed, the Gladiator on the map still had yellow skin and uses the default Roblox face, essentially retaining its Pre-Overhaul look.
  • This map was remade as part of the MEGA Update to give it a mid-poly look.
