Description

[edit]

Foggy Forest was the event map for the second night of the Solar Eclipse Event. Like other event maps, it had a specialized wave structure with special enemies. Players started with CashScript error: No such module "Money". (CashScript error: No such module "Money". if the player joined Paradoxum Games) at the start of the game. Upon triumphing, you were awarded with Coin 150, Experience 50 EXP and Shard 160 Solar Shards. Losing on wave 12 awarded Shard 120 Solar Shards instead. This map used the Swamp Monster as its narrator, instead of the Commander.

Design & Path

[edit]

Foggy Forest was a large forest. Three large mushrooms, one red, one blue, and one grey, could be seen on the map and used as cliff spots. Multiple trees and smaller fungi could also be seen scattered along the map.

The path started and ended at two caves, the path took a turn right and went straight. It then took the smaller circle on the left and then the bigger circle on the right. After that, it went straight and then took a left turn to the exit.

Story

[edit]

After defeating the Jaxe, the T.D.S. Organization continues their journey to the Totality Tower. They are, however, stopped by the Swamp Monster and its army. The T.D.S. Organization fights them off and eventually defeats the Swamp Monster.

Rewards

[edit]

The game calculated how much Coin Coins and Experience EXP you received based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 50% more Experience EXP (08:00 UTC Friday – 08:00 UTC Sunday), any Experience EXP earned was multiplied by 1.5x. The VIP gamepass also multiplied any Experience EXP earned by 1.25x.

Any rewards that ended in a decimal point was rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Rewards were calculated as:

Currency Equation
Coin Coins Coin 50 × (Waves/12)^1.75 + Coin 100 (Triumph Only)
Experience EXP Waves 0-9: Experience 2.083 EXP × Waves
Waves 10-12: Experience 4.167 EXP × Waves
Shard Solar Shards Shard 120 × (Waves/12)^1.75 + Shard 40 (Triumph Only)

Wave Structure

[edit]

Formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave was:

(CashScript error: No such module "Money". + (CashScript error: No such module "Money". × Waves Completed)) ÷ Players

The waves in Foggy Forest could not be skipped. They followed these timings:

Waves Wave Timer
1-11 1:00
12 N/A

Bolded names indicates an enemy type's debut.

Strategy

[edit]
  • There is a visual bug where the Accelerator seems to not target the Swamp Monster, the major boss of the map. This has no impact on the performance of the Accelerator and it will still deal damage to it, so it is a viable option.
    • Due to its expensive price, it is recommended to place it later on.
  • Wave 5 can cripple or defeat players due to the spawned Ghosts.
    • Multiple Level 3 Scouts or Crook Bosses are a good counter to this. For later waves, they should be upgraded to Level 4.
  • Since the path goes through the middle of the path twice, it is recommended to place your towers near it.
  • The Ace Pilot and Pursuit can be useful in this map, as the path goes in circles.
  • You can place down cliff towers such as the Ranger on the giant fungi near the path.
  • The Mortar can help clear out early waves, however it will struggle against the Ghosts due to them being a hidden enemy with Splash Damage immunity.
