Description

[edit]

The Null Shrieker was a Flying enemy that appeared in Banlands and Blind Faith as part of the Null & Void Event. It had a decent amount of health and speed. As it was a Flying enemy, only towers with flying detection can target it.

Logbook Description

[edit]

"The Null Shrieker is a flying enemy within the Nil Zone. Despite its blindness, it navigates by relying on sound to locate its prey. The bandages that cover its eyes are believed to be self-inflicted, as if the creature chose to blind itself."

Appearance

[edit]

The Null Shrieker appearance resembles that of a giant bat, with purple fur, sharp teeth along with claws on its legs and arms, bat wings and pointy ears. It has an orange blindfold covering its eyes.

Event Strategy

[edit]

As this enemy only appears through Sandbox mode, no strategy section is made for its current version. Instead, a strategy section for the one that appeared without Sandbox mode in Banlands and Blind Faith is listed instead.

  • Cheap early-game towers with flying detection like Golden Soldier, Engineer and Crook Boss along with its goons can be used to take them down comfortably.
    • Later on, towers like the Pursuit or Ranger can also be used to deal with them.
  • You can use the Firework Technician to give all towers within its range flying detection, making Null Shrieker easier to kill.
    • Similarly, The Sun curse also gives all your towers to detect it but at the cost of it having all immunities, making it slightly harder to slow down.
  • As the Null Shrieker is quite fast and on some waves spawn as Nimble, stalling towers can be useful against it.
    • Due to it being a Flying enemy, not only does that mean the tower has to be able to detect it, but some that do cannot stall it at all. This heavily limits potential stalling options. One tower which can be used is the Electroshocker.
