Description

The Cursed Skeleton is a regenerating enemy that appears early on in Voidcore mode and later in the waves in Hardcore mode. It has higher health and speed than the Hefty, though instead of Defense, it has Health Regen.

Logbook Description

"Even in death one shall serve the Void. Corpses of those whose realms were devoured decompose in the peaceful quiet and are scavenged by Odds or Swifts. They are then brought back to the Void Caster as an offering, as she then attaches a Phantom or an Odd’s soul directly into it. Many of the Swifts, Heftys and Odds don’t like interacting with the Cursed Skeleton, as they fear what it would be like not having flesh."

Appearance

The Cursed Skeleton is a grey and purple skeleton which has vines, flowers and various other plants covering or growing inside of it. It has glowing purple eyes.

The legacy Cursed Skeleton is made entirely of blackish-purple parts that resemble a skeletal humanoid. It does not have a full torso, but instead has the bone cage for it. Its head is slightly smaller than most other enemies, and has two large glowing purple eyeholes. It also emits purple particles and the ends of its limbs are covered in a purple fluid.

It plays a bone shaking sound on death.

Strategy

• Cursed Skeletons can be easily dealt with by towers that deal a lot of damage, such as the Saboteur, Engineer, Crook Boss, Golden Crook Boss or Operator.
• As the Cursed Skeleton spawns in groups, splash damage towers such as the Mortar, Rocketeer and Golden Demoman can also be useful against it.
• The Bloated Cursed Skeletons on Wave 9 and 12 of Voidcore can be very challenging to deal with if DPS is lacking. It is recommended to use cost-efficient DPS towers to deal with them effectively.

Trivia

• The modern Cursed Skeleton is unaffected by enemy appearance modifiers, such as Talk Like a Pirate Day.
• The legacy Cursed Skeleton is very similar to the Hallow Bones that appeared in the Halloween 2020 Event.
  • It is also quite similar to the cursed enemies that appeared in the Solar Eclipse Event.
• The legacy Cursed Skeleton's death sound is similar to the Skeleton's hurt sound from Minecraft.
