It brought in only five new skins, two obtained for beating all maps on Easy difficulty and Hard difficulty, and also three Mission Quests.
The event maps contained three unique modes, each with an Easy and Hard difficulty.

Official Event Trailer
Adidas Backyard Legends Trailer ⚽ - Tower Defense Simulator
Trivia
- When the voicelines for the trailer were being recorded, it was presumed the trailer would show Clive throughout the years, with it starting with him as a kid up to present day. The line ended up only being changed in the cutscene as the trailer could not be changed last minute.[3]
- There is cut dialogue that would have played on Wave 5 of an unspecified map that was cut for not being that relevant.[4]

 |
So how's the kid, Clive? I heard he's gotten pretty big. I bet he's a handful. |
 |
Hah — yeah. After dealing with you for all these years, it's like a walk in the park. Kid says hi, though. |
- Many images were made to be used in the Backyard Legends Event, presumably as graffiti, however, all of them went unused.
- Four images related to soccer were made by Squeezewhiz.[5]

-
- None of the enemies in this event have descriptions in their Logbooks as doing so would have required approval.[8]
- There is an unused enemy from this event called the Decoy2. Functionally, it is identical to the Decoy that appears in the event, however, it has the same appearance as the Soccer Speedy.
- The Backyard Legends Event is the first event to allow players to replay cutscenes in the event lobby at any time.
