Description

[edit]

The Hex Weaver was a support enemy that appeared in Containment as part of the Hexscape Event. It had decent health, average speed and 50% defense. It also had Stun Immunity.

The Hex Weaver had one ability, Spooky Tricks, where it threw a green orb on the path that applied attributes to other enemies. The explosion applied Bloated or Nimble attributes to enemies. It could not apply attributes to Hex Weavers or Bosses.

Appearance

[edit]

The Hex Weaver had black skin. It wore a grey shirt and shoes, blue pants, dark grey armbands with bloody spikes and dark grey shoulder-pads. It also worr a dark grey skull with multiple horns on its head. It held a turquoise orb in its hands, which it used to apply attributes to enemies.

Strategy

[edit]
  • While not a threat on its own, especially considering how multiple enemies at this stage of the mode are significantly stronger than it, its ability to apply makes it very dangerous.
    • DPS towers like the Engineer, Ranger or Accelerator can be used to kill it.
    • Stalling towers can be used to slow down enemies that are given the Nimble attribute.
  • Defense dropping towers, like the Golden Pyromancer or DJ Booth can be used to drop its defense.

Trivia

[edit]
  • The Hex Weaver's animations and ability were identical to the Fallen Jester.

Update History

[edit]
  • 30 October 2024 - v1.39.0
    • Hex Weaver added.
    • Bug: Poison and electric defense dropping do not decrease Hex Weaver's defense.
    • Bug: Hex Weaver can completely negate the stalling effects from towers, such as freeze or DJ Booth slowdown, if during the debuff it applies Nimble to the enemy. This will make it walk at its regular Nimble speed while the debuff effects are still on it.
  • 6 November 2024 - v1.40.0
    • Bugfix: Poison and electric defense dropping now drops Hex Weaver's defense, though the Jester still cannot drop it.
  • 20 November 2024 - v1.42.0
    • Hex Weaver removed.
