Lead (Legacy Enemy) was previously removed on the 5th of June 2026, though it has been made available through the Sandbox mode later.
It is not accessible anywhere else in the game. This page will attempt to include information about both the version before removal and its re-added version.

Description
[edit]The Lead was an enemy which only appeared on Hardcore mode. Currently, it can only be spawned in Sandbox mode if the player has the Sandbox Plus+ gamepass. It has somewhat high health for its debut, but luckily it is quite slow. As it is a Lead enemy, it cannot be damaged by towers without lead detection.
The Lead could be spawned by the Grave Digger in Hardcore mode. The Mystery could also spawn the Lead upon its death in Hardcore mode.
Appearance
[edit]The Lead is completely metal-plated from its head to its legs. It is faceless. It is about the same size as the Abnormal. Its head is slightly tilted downwards.
Strategy
[edit]This strategy refers to the state of the game while the Invisible still appeared in the Hardcore mode.
- Any tower with splash, fire, electric, poison and collision damage will damage the Lead.
- The Golden Pyromancer and Electroshocker are perhaps the most effective towers against the Lead due to their DPS and ability to damage multiple Leads.
- The Freezer can slow down the Lead, but is unable to damage it.
- The Cryomancer and Frost Blaster can both damage the Lead as well as slow it down, making it a great option against it.
- Units can also deal with the Lead well, as most of them have a pretty decent amount of health.
- Similarly, the Trapper's spikes are also very effective against Leads
- Bombs from the Ace Pilot can damage the Lead, but its bullets cannot.
- The Swarmer cannot damage the Lead without its ability.
- A Level 3+ Sniper, Warden or Ranger can damage the Lead directly, but these are relatively expensive options.
- Likewise, the Accelerator and Level 1+ Pursuit can easily defeat the Lead.
- A Level 3 Golden Scout is a relatively cheap option to deal with multiple Leads.
- Low level Engineers might struggle with multiple Leads due to it having to take time to build sentries, which cannot damage them.
