Description

The Void Trickster is a summoner enemy that appears in Hardcore and Voidcore modes. It has decent health but also walks rather slowly. It has both the Stun Immunity and Freeze Immunity, making it harder to stall.

It has two ability, the first, Portal, has it fire a few projectiles which will travel a short distance before making a Void Portal on the path. This portal will periodically summon in enemies. The second ability is Summon, in which the Void Trickster slams its staff and summons in a Speedy King.

Logbook Description

"The Void Trickster is a summoner who opens the gate for enemies to run through. In the Void, there are places called Vaults where thousands of enemies reside. The Vaults are puts in the ground that enemies cannot escape from, where the ground is loaded with plants and flowers for the creatures to lay theirs heads upon. When a gate is created instinctually^[sic] the enemies will run in that direction and spew out the other side, attacking the first thing they see. Void Tricksters are a specialized variant of Odd that Void Caster bestows a curse upon. The clothes they wear are to symbolize their group. Although time isn't able to be told in the Void, they often meet to share stories, practice magic, and have the occasional gossip."

Appearance

The Void Trickster has purple body and has multiple glowing purple lines on its body. It wears a black robe, a black wizard's hat with a gem on it, black pants and purple shoes. It wields a staff which it uses to cast various spells.

Strategy

• Deal with this enemy as soon as possible. Leaving it alive for too long will allow it to create many Void Portals from its Portal ability, which then continuously spawn a huge amount of Voidlings, overwhelming your towers.
  • You will also want to defeat it quickly, as its other ability, Summon, spawns a Speedy King, which upon defeated will increase the speed of enemies. This can be even deadlier if the enemy that it boosts has high health, such as the Unknown Boss.
    • The Saboteur tower is a nuisance against this enemy, since its Aggressive Toxins ability lets towers target it directly and further weaken it.
• High DPS towers like the Accelerator, Juggernaut, Engineer and Turret should be used to take it down quickily.
  • Support towers such as the Medic, Commander and DJ Booth can further speed up the Void Trickster's death.
• Since the Void Trickster has both the Freeze and Stun immunities, freezing towers like the Freezer and stunning towers like the Tesla cannot freeze or stun the Void Trickster, though the latter can still slow it down.
