Skin Upgrades

The Accelerator has twenty-seven skins in total. This includes:

1. The Default skin.
2. Twelve that can be unlocked from Crates.
3. Three skins that can only be unlocked from the Daily Skin Store.
4. Five skins that can be unlocked from Passes.
5. One skin that can be unlocked from both Crates and Passes.
6. Two skin that can be unlocked from the Merch Shop.
7. Two skins that can be unlocked from Mission Quests.
8. One skin that can be unlocked from PVP Seasons

0		Green skin, grey torso and legs, cloak, torso, pants, bandages and belt with a scroll, and black shoes. Faceless. Uses a rainbow-colored prism to attack enemies.
1		Black headband and gloves, and purple sleeves.
2		Purple scarf and additional scroll. Torso is now pink.
3		Purple arm-band with blue spikes. Pink and blue arm-bands with neon blue crystals. Jacket and pants now have blue outlines.
4		Purple hood with neon light blue outlines and pink and blue cape.
5		Purple diamond shaped visor and blue horns on its head and purple spell book with a light blue crystal. Arm-band crystals are now neon light blue and hood outlines are now neon blue. Shoulder-pad crystals are now a lighter shade of blue.

The Eclipse skin was obtained from Rank 11 of the Solar Eclipse Season.

0		Tan skin, light pink shirt, black torso, legs and shoes, and dark pink harness. Grey energy canister. Wields a plasma gun to attack enemies.
1		Black gloves and neon yellow visor.
2		Dark purple vest. Energy canister is now larger.
3		Black mask. Shirt is now purple. Gloves replaced with grey gloves that have dark pink stripes. Shoes are now dark purple with black stripes.
4		Black hood with neon yellow outlines and dark purple vest with neon yellow parts.
5		Neon parts are now orange. Larger energy canisters. Visor replaced with a large neon orange lens with straps attaching to the head.

The Valentines skin is obtained from the Lovely Crate, Lovestruck Crate and Valentines 2026 Crate. It was also obtainable in two other ways:

1. Through the Valentines Crate between the 21st of December 2022 and the 14th of February 2023.
2. From Rank 6 of the Season of Love Season.

The Ice Witch skin is obtained from the Cold Front Crate.

2		Leather belt on its waist and left arm. Magical ice circle is now bigger.
3		Clothes replaced with black pants, brown shoes with blue ice at the bottom, and blue winter coat with white fur. Ice horn.
4		Blue winter hood with white fur.
5		Neon parts are now a darker shade of blue. Horn is now longer. Eyes now have a different shape. Magical ice circle is now bigger.

The Navy skin is obtained from the Basic Crate.

The Vigilante skin is obtained from the Vigilante Crate.

4		Grey hood with red stripes.
5		Night vision goggles replaced with a neon red ghost face. All neon parts are now dark red. Suit is now dark grey with red stripes. Energy canisters are now larger and darker.

The Legend skin can be obtained from the Rank 14 of the Krampus' Revenge Season.

4		Yellow fur mantle on left shoulder. Mask now has wing detailing.
5		Mask now has horns.

The Elite skin is obtained from the Daily Skin Store.

4		White wings with cyan and green outlines.
5		Blue and green lightning bolts on the back. Wings are now black. Neon cyan parts are now neon black. Now uses a black colored prism.

The Speaker Titan skin is obtained from the Deluxe Crate.

0		Black skin, red shirt with a neon red core and two core speakers, black pants, shoes and belt. Giant speakers as a head with multiple red lights. Giant black jetpack on its back, allowing it to fly up. Wields two arm cannons to attack enemies.
1		Black shoulder-pads and a small grey helmet on the main speaker. Arm cannons have additional padding.
2		Black vest. Jetpack has two additional thrusters.
3		Grey ankle-pads. Arm cannon padding extended further.
4		More speaker head armor. Additional unused guns attached to arms.
5		All neon red parts replaced with neon purple parts. Two large speakers attached to a bigger jetpack. Now wields two upgraded arm cannons.

The Nuclear skin is obtained from the Mission Quests.

0		Pale green skin with a glowing green left arm, yellow hazmat suit that is torn at the ends, black shoes and belt. Canister filled with caution tapes and nuclear waste. Faceless, with the exception of an eye socket from an exposed skull. Wields a plasma gun with a green beam to attack enemies.
1		Black visor with nuclear-green glowing lens, black gloves, and black and neon green arm-bands.
2		Battery pack on front containing nuclear waste, connected to canisters. Now has two canisters.
3		Grey and black armor with nuclear green accents that has knee-pads and shoulder-pads. Numerous radioactive tubes stretching across body.
4		Grey hood with nuclear-green horns.
5		Neon green parts are now neon teal. Brown and blue bull face mask, resembling the Nuclear Monster's bull mask. Larger destroyed canisters with neon teal radioactive signs.

The Senator skin can randomly appear in the Daily Skin Store. Previously, it was obtained from the Deluxe Crate from 4th of May 2024 through 6th of May 2024.

4		Brown belt with a holstered energy blade and cloth tied around waist. Coat replaced with a brown robe and brown shirt. Skin is now grey.
5		Shirt is now red. Lightning and eyes are now neon purple.

The Dank skin is obtained from the Daily Skin Store.

2		Green bookmark in book. Helmet and shoes now have lines. Belt buckle replaced with two pads on legs. Crystals on the book's spine. Bigger crystal.
3		Reddish-brown scarf and blue spiky armor with grey outlines around belt. Bookmark is now blue. Bigger crystal.
4		Star on belt armor, blue crystal on torso, reddish-brown cloth around arms. Bookmark is now red. Bigger crystal.
5		Blue crystal on helmet. Bigger crystal, crystal is now pink.

The Patient Zero skin is obtained from the Merch Shop. Previously, it was obtained through a Patient Zero Mini Plush Code.

2		Grey piston with neon green parts, which has a grey plate around its left shoulder.

4		Large backpack with two canisters on the side and grey device around neck, both with neon green parts.
5		Head skin tone is larger, face replaced with a large glowing purple eye. Glowing purple veins on its right arm. Neon green parts are now purple. Backpack is now larger. Shirt is now torn. Mutation spread further, covering its torso and parts of its head.

The Disco skin was obtained from Level 40 of the Hexscape Event Battle Pass regular track.

3		Red, orange and grey armor that covers its legs. Improved shoulder-pads.
4		Improved chestplate. Disco ball now has a grey and red checker pattern.
5		Larger energy canister. All red parts are now blue and all orange parts are now red. Neon parts are now all purple.

The Octopus skin was obtained from Level 40 of the Surf & Turf Battle Pass premium track.

0		Black skin, neon yellow eyes, purple hair, dark brown cloak, grey shirt and pants, has a brown hat with a black stripe and one arm covered in a cloak. Has four tentacles coming out of a backpack on its back, from which it fires water beams from.
1		Brown and neon yellow button on hat.
2		Hat and cloak are now purple and yellow, shirt is now light brown. Grey tank with neon yellow energy and a chain.
3		Amulet necklace. Brown bandages around legs, pants are now rolled up. Additional purple details on cloak. Tentacles now have neon yellow parts on their back.
4		Purple wrapping around the hat's black stripe. Tentacles now have even more neon yellow parts.
5		Color scheme updated, bandages are now dark green, shirt is now purple, cloak is grey, purple and green, neons are pink, hair and tentacles are green, and hat is purple and green. Purple disks in hat. Multiple green beads hanging from hat. Now fires black and purple lasers.

The Champion skin was obtained from General III of PVP Season 0.

3		Two gold wings with neon yellow endings. Headgear now has two white fins.
4		Gold halo like sigil flying above and behind its head. Headgear visor is now brighter.
5		Now flies while idling, upgraded gunblade being on fire. Blue on its clothing is now darker. Headgear is more sophisticated. Now spins a full circle before and after firing. Laser fired is larger.

The Magician skin is obtained from the Showtime Crate.

3		Vest now covers arms, gloves are now white. Mask now covers half of its face instead of both eyes.
4		Red coat. Tophat is now red and has two ace cards.
5		Red rose on tophat. Mask is now mostly black with white details, coat and tophat are green. Sigil is now bigger and neon green.

The Bunny skin was obtained from Level 8 of the Spring Frenzy Battle Pass premium track.

3		Bunny beanie replaced with a bunny hood. Carrots on the side of its legs.
4		Upgraded sleeves with two eggs strapped to both.
5		Bunny face mask now has a different expression. Upgraded carrot tanks and hood. White glove on left hand. Light yellow egg on left shoulder.

The Void skin is obtained from the Void Crate.

0		Purple body on the right and white body on the left with a hole in the middle of its torso, black floating head with a red and purple outline, purple spikes on the shoulder, brown bandages around left arm and brown cloth around waist. Fires a laser at enemies from a black ball with a purple and red outline.
1		Flowers on right arm and a bandolier. Left arm is now pink.
2		More crystals around right arm.
3		Blue and yellow knee-pad on left leg. More pink crystals on left arm and right leg.
4		Grey armor on its torso, left shoulder and right arm.
5		Larger spikes on back. Entire body is now purple, with certain previously pink or purple body parts changing color. Gold accents on armor. Head is now shaped like a black hole. Now fires lasers from a white ball.

The Beach skin can be obtained from the Beach Crate.

Skin Trivia

• The Accelerator formerly used the War Machine upgrade icons, which is a tower only a few selected people have.
  • As of the Violent Night Update, the Accelerator no longer uses the War Machine icons, and now uses its own icons.
    • The Accelerator's Level 5 upgrade icon has the Enemies Beta versions of the Speedy Boss and Slow Boss in it.
• The Level 5 Accelerator changes the color of some effects to a different color.
  • Because of a bug, this does not normally occur. It can only occur when you upgrade the Accelerator to Level 5 when the effect particles are still active.
  • The tower ability particles, such as the Commander's Call to Arms, will change colors.
    • During Hardcore Testing BETA, this also happened with the John's Enraging Shout ability.
  • Stun particles, such as basic stun particles also change color.
  • Before 7th of April 2023, the tower indicator ring under the Accelerator also changed colors.
  • The color of some effects is changed depending on the skin.
    • The Default, Plushie, Speaker Titan, Deluxe, Dank, Patient Zero and Disco skins changes it to purple.
    • The Mage and Navy skins change it to white.
    • The Cupid, Ghost Buster and Ducky skins change it to red, though it is a different shade of red for each skin.
    • The Eclipse and Vigilante skins changes it to orange.
    • The Ice Witch skin changes it to blue.
    • The Red and Legend skins change it to light yellow.
    • The Nuclear skin changes it to sea green.
    • The Elite skin removes them completely.
• The Hazmat skin was most likely removed due to bugs.
  • The appearance did not change when upgraded and the animations were broken.
  • For some reason, the unboxed version of the Hazmat and the Hazmat in the skin preview are different from the one seen in-game.
• Prior to the Duck Hunt Event, the Mage skin used the same face as some hidden enemies, such as the Shadow and Hidden Boss.

• The Patient Zero skin is based on the Patient Zero enemy.
  • Some parts of its appearance, most notably the accessories gained at Level 2, are taken from the Living Experiment.
• The Octopus skin is a submission from the Aquatic Fantasy skin set made by 4it3dm1 and InkEve.
  • The skin originally was a human wearing an octopus costume up until Level 5 which resembles an octopus more. It was changed into an anthropomorphic octopus when it was added into the game.
  • Some minor design changes were made, such as the eyepatch gotten at Level 1 being removed.
• According to the Accelerator Octopus Charm, the Octopus skin is a rare subspecies of Accelerator rarely seen on the surface.
  • The description suggests that the Accelerator is somehow different enough from humans to be considered its own species. This is most likely just a mistake, and it is meant to state it is a rare subspecies of octopus instead.
• The Magician skin's appearance is based on Artful, a killer from the game Die of Death and from Sinclair, a character from an upcoming game developed by Valve called Deadlock.
