Description

[edit]

The Sentry, internally referred to as Sentry1, is the first sentry that is spawned by the Engineer. It spawns when the Engineer is at Level 0-2. It does not spawn on the path and instead on a ground spot in the Engineer's sentry placement range. It takes about 1.25 seconds to build the Sentry.

There is a limit of one unit per Engineer when it is at Level 0-2, limiting the amount of Sentries it can spawn.

Appearance

[edit]

The Sentry is a quadpod device constructed out of metal, colored black and white. It is a sentry that uses a mounted rifle to attack at enemies. It also has a red laser mounted on top.

Strategy

[edit]
  • The Sentry can do well against enemies that appear early on, such as the Slow or Heavy.
  • The Sentry does not have hidden detection, meaning you have to either rely on the Engineer for hidden detection or use other towers.
    • Since the Engineer by itself has very low DPS at the levels the Sentry is spawned, other towers like the Minigunner are recommended.
  • The Sentry is not affected by any buff or debuff.
  • The Sentry will struggle against any enemy with abilities that damage units, because of its low health.
    • For example, if the Fallen King uses its Sword Swing attack, and a Sentry is caught in the attack, it is instantly destroyed.
