Description
The Pulse Trooper is an intermediate tower that fires pulses at enemies in its range. It can be purchased in the store for
The Pulse Trooper will fire a piercing pulse in a 360° arc around the tower. This pulse will expand as it goes through the tower's range, disappearing once it reaches the end of its range. These pulses will damage any enemy they hit once. At Level 4, it also unlocks the Sweeper ability. This will stop the Pulse Trooper from attacking normally and instead will replace it with a map wide dual laser. These two lasers will move through the entire map for a few seconds, damaging each enemy twice. Both attacks are capable of indirectly hitting Hidden and Flying enemies.
The Pulse Trooper has a placement limit of seven per player.
Upgrades

Pulse Trooper stops attacking with its main attack and instead starts firing two lasers that sweep through the entire map for a specific laser duration. These deal laser damage when hitting an enemy, and due to there being two of them they deal damage to an enemy twice.

Strategy
- Although its single-target damage is rather poor, the Pulse Trooper excels at clearing out crowds thanks to its pulses damaging every enemy in its range.
- Due to this, spots which cover a lot of the path but also are in close proximity due to the Pulse Trooper having low range are best suited for it. Examples of such path layouts include loops or U-turns.
- Range boosting towers like the DJ Booth can be very beneficial for these towers thanks to this, as it will extend how far the pulses can reach, effectively boosting its potential DPS.
- At Level 4, it unlocks Sweeper, an ability that unleashes two lasers that cover the whole map.
- As two lasers are fired at once, each dealing damage to an enemy once, this effectively means the ability deals 350 damage to each enemy on the map at Level 4 and 600 at Level 5, which, if all Pulse Troopers are placed down, it can deal up to 2,450 or 4,200 damage per enemy for Level 4 and Level 5, respectively.
- This is best used on high enemy count waves due to its map-wide range.
- Thanks to its infinite pierce, the Pulse Trooper can be very effective on maps with All Paths as its attacks can clear out the duplicated enemies quite well.
- This is especially true for its Sweeper ability, which can deal damage to every single enemy on the map, making it way more effective on such maps.
- Although the Pulse Trooper only has lead detection, it can damage other enemy types with its attacks.
- Its main attack can damage Flying and Hidden enemies; however, this only works if there is a detectable enemy in range. If no enemy is in range, they will simply walk through it unharmed.
- The Sweeper attack can also damage them; however, as it is activated by the player, it can even be used when there are only such enemies on the map.
- Stalling towers can be useful with the Pulse Trooper as they will be able to help keep enemies in its range for longer, increasing its DPS.
- The Pulse Trooper due to its practically infinite max hits, can be used to hit multiple enemies at once, allowing it to generate multiple fireworks at once with the Firework Technician.
- Do note, however, that its chance is divided by 10, meaning that against a single target it will generate far fewer fireworks than a regular tower with the same firerate.
Trivia
- The Pulse Trooper's level 5 upgrade name Arc Reactor is a reference to Iron Man's Arc Reactor.
