You just need a couple towers with good dps such as commando and a pyro or 2. If you can do it right, you can get a level 5 commando before wave 30, which will kill a speedy boss, provided that its been slowed down.

I am doing exactly that, yet still no luck, is it because of the crook boss users?

How about this, place three pyros and level 2 up to max level and have one at level 4 and place three turrets to level three or three commandos at level four and enjoy destroying the speedy boss :) I think commandos would do better but I do three turrets because of hidden detection so your gonna have to work it out with people you play soooooo........
