If you wanna figure out a tower's dps, divide the damage by the firerate and thats the dps. (dps means damage per second by the way)

dps is just a "magic" stat that people want even though most towers never perform close to it due to retargeting of zombies. also we only list effective dps cause effective dps will range from 0 to max.
