Commander and Dispatcher are original characters for sure, but I feel like no one really points out on the POTENTIAL of AUs with them. I see Commander and Dispatcher the same way I see John Doe and Jane Doe (not forsaken): Mirror images of each other. Basically, I like giving them the Kagamine Rin and Len treatment. With mirror images, the potential for those two is insane! They can be lovers, siblings, one being their past self and current self, etc.! In fact, I have many AUs based off of them. The notable ones being Swap AU where Commander is the one being kidnapped instead of Dispatcher! An AU where Commander pulls an Ego Renegade Boy and becomes trans into Dispatcher! And an AU where they are siblings (them being twins)! yes both of their birthdays are march 18, but whatever. And an AU where they have a family and receive the good ending.
why am i writing all this? GO INSANE WITH THESE TWO! THE DUO COMBINATION POTENTIAL IS INSANE! HELL, YOU COULD MAKE UP COMMANDER BEING THE CREATOR OF DISPATCHER AND SHE'S A ROBOT! GO WILD! I WANNA SEE ALL YOUR INTERPRETATIONS OF COMMANDER AND DISPATCHER!!!!!!!

I actually agree with this, I see them as a parallel to Umbra and Penumbra
