Doing this because I'm bored. For the record, I don't think any of these towers are outright 'bad', and they're moreso being ranked on what they offer to the roster.

5/4 - Brawler/Necromancer.
Both these towers swap back and forth on what I consider the 'worst' of the Hardcore towers. They both have a lot of good things, but they have problems that hold them back substantially.

Necromancer has a lot to like on paper, especially after his recent buff. He has access to all three detections, the ability to basically be an Accelerator for three different enemies, god-tier range (Especially for a ground tower), and a passively refilling get out of jail free card with the strongest ram units in the game and high splash damage. In spite of all of that, Necromancer has two big weaknesses; his price and his placement. Necromancer's CE is horrible, with him having one of the most expensive upgrades in the game behind evolved towers such as Juggernaut. This means Necromancer needs huge greed or a discount DJ Booth almost every time you choose to run him, which can hurt other towers who might need the money you spend on Necromancer or want a different DJ buff (Or a different support tower to begin with). Necromancer also needs to be placed near the path to be able to summon his gravestones, which considering the Hallow Guard and Executioner Skeleton, you definitely want from him if you're running Necromancer, but this is less of an issue since Necromancer's range lets him be placed in various corners of the track effectively while being able to charge up. Necromancer's detections are also on the pricier end to get online, excluding the Lead he starts off with.

Brawler, on the other hand, is a great early game tower overshadowed by others in his niche. Brawler has high damage potential with his combo strikes, in addition to being able to knock back enemies, and even move himself across the map for free. Oh, and he has stun immunity baked into him, so unless you're dealing with freeze Brawler will never stop attacking. Brawler's problem? He's a single-target melee tower. Now, considering all the tricks Brawler has up his sleeve, that is not the end of the world, especially since his only competition in the role is Slasher, an event tower focused on damage over time, and Warden, a heavy melee tower with a different role to play to Brawler. But as an early game tower, Brawler has stiff competition from towers like Engineer, the Golden perks, and Operator. Brawler can compete with those towers very well, but he suffers from mildly expensive Hidden detection for an early game tower, and his inability to hit Flying without repositioning can backfire on the Brawler user. Early Lead is nice, but the only mode where Lead comes before Flying is Pizza Party, while everywhere else he will need help with the air traffic.

3 - Accelerator.
The classic, big laser beam man himself. Accelerator has more or less everything you want from a DPS tower. He melts just about anything, only really needs help with Flying enemies (Which tend to be weak anyways), and is only competing with Juggernaut and Swarmer for boss destruction. Accelerator's only problem is his early level charge-up, which was something touched on in the latest balance update. It doesn't sink Accelerator, but it does make using him for that extra oomph of DPS feel a little clunky, and also means you do NOT want to leave any holes in his range.

2 - Engineer.
Do I need to say anything on how good Engineer is? Yanbo has done me the favour of swearing on the Engineer Bible all the time, and for good reason. Engineer can literally do anything except take down final bosses solo. All detections, CE for days, even more DPS with her sentries, she literally has it all. Engineer's only flaws are that she doesn't settle into one role too well (Which she's not meant to so that's fine) and sometimes her sentry deployment can screw her over with Flying enemies since her sentries can't do jack to help her there.

1 - Hacker.
I mean... come on, it's goddamn Hacker. Do I need to explain how busted being able to basically double your DPS towers, earn more money from enemies, AND slow enemies down is? I could, but doing that is just asking for a broken record. It's just... it's Hacker. Heck, her enemy hacking into units is just icing on the cake, something she doesn't need to be as good as she is but she has it anyway. Plus since Hacker is a support tower... her DPS doesn't even matter, but she has DPS anyway.

So there ya go. If any of you fine folk want to say fun stuff in the comments, do go ahead and do that. I just ask to keep any arguments civil if they sound off down there. Cheers!

HACKER OVER ENGI AND ACCEL 😭😭😭😭😭😭
"engineer can do literally anything except take down final bosses" this literally applies to every dps tower that isnt gmini

      Support towers go brrr.
Also almost every late-game DPS tower can take bosses down just fine... except Necromancer and AOE DPS like Rocketeer.

That's Yanboblox, don't except anything from him. Accelerator is good, but still far from Hacker level. Engineer is a Mrs. Garbage Can that gets outperformed by any All-Rounder/JOAT.

          "dont expect anything from him"
you always say bs claims and never back it up
you say map wide range and stun immunity isnt that good and you have never proved why
"ENGINEER IS A MRS GARBAGE THAT GETS OUTPERFORMED BY ANY ALL ROUNDER" ??
SHE IS THE JOAT TOWER OF TDS LMAO
GENUINELY TELL ME HOW SHE ISNT A JOAT

Yeah, and other all-rounders are better.

operator is the only other all rounder i can think of he's balanced around being usable thru every stage of the game.
but not excelling at one stage properly
in early game specifically gscout is better
in mid game you can use gmini or engi goat
in late game there's jugg and accel
but he excels at being a decent option for all 3 at once
              engidoes too but better
she has all 3 detections for under 2k$
she has nearly the same dps as accel for 150$ per dps (which is literally half of jugg and kingpin's ce)
              she has partial stun immunity
she deals amazing burst damage from her rockets (480 damage every 4 seconds per engi)
as previously mentionned, she is usable in every stage of the game, even if there are better options, she's the best out of 2 towers that can scale thru every stage of the game and still outclasses most towers up to the late advanced-golden roster in their own niches *gsoldier*
i genuinely do not understand why you hate engineer and like kingpin for the same reason i glaze engineer (which she does better btw) +
you still havent told me why other all rounders are better
i could say paintballer is the best tower in the game with no concrete argument or evidence and i'd still provide more information then you dude

Operator shreds all stages way better than Engi, has COST EFFICIENT MAP-WIDE RANGE and actually strong flying. Commando (Yes, Commando) has better multi-target, 2 amazing full and 1 partial lead, stun and DPS. Hacker is S+ Tier everywhere besides some trials.

"operator shreds all stages way better then engi" is just false?? with the only decently comparable stage being mid game
                  let me elaborate
operator depends on both his gimmicks to actually be at full potential, which is way more complicated (not saying he's bad) than engi's simpler but stronger playstyle
his early game while being very good, is still a burst dps only, meaning that.... its not consistent like gscout, BUT he has the advantage of dealing huge amounts of damage in a short amount of time.
engineer has both fast consistent dps and slow but heavy dps (sentry and nailgun respectively)
his mid game is kinda weird because it depends what mode, which towers and what map ur doing but on average you'd start setting up a shared optics chain. with a good coord stack at the front or back.
while his map wide range is good, you're still gonna have a good amount of operators that aren't buffed at all and only serve as extra range, with an average ce of 200, and that map wide range gets countered if a lead slips by, which operator has NO way to damage, partial flying is better than full on lack of lead.
his lategame is where he struggles most (while still performing better than most early game specialists, keyword SPECIALIST), he eats up your placements and gets affected alot more than most other towers by enemy attacks (stuns disable both his passives)
actually strong flying doesnt matter if one lead that leaks basically counters ALL your operators at once + 800 dps against flyings is better than 0 against leads
Commando is a tower that i dont use quite often, but he struggles at 1. not having consistent dps (reload and missiles), 2. having pretty ehh ce (at full potential), his missiles do bare bones splash damage, being way way worse than engi's and the fact he unironically struggles more in the early game and late game than engi (due to his price and also how unbuffable he is compared to engi + his total dps being way smaller on average and at max potential) and also struggling alot more against leads than engi does against flying, depending on quick bursts of damage that can be eaten up by flyings and is on a pretty long cooldown to take down heavy targets.
Hacker is undeniably an amazing tower, but not only does she lack at actually increasing your dps long term until lvl 5b (which most other forms of support dont struggle at). she has a pretty small range until you invest alot of money into her + she is the most expensive support in the game rn
also her top path is only a crowd control at best, her single target is insanely cost inefficient without summons

LESS BUFFABLE THAN ENGI? His main attack is fully bufdable besides bursts which don't affect tower much, while Engi has 60% unbuffable DPS. Operator deals around 1000 DPS at worst and over 1500 at average with good CE and map-wide (map-wide range is good if it has decent overall stats and not 350 CE like Ranger).

engineer is good I just prefer specialists over joats they get things done quicker using engineer is a guarnteed win sure but she plays so slowly its boring to use her.

unit splash damage is affected by damage buffs (this includes grenadier, military base, and of course engineer)
and yeah sure i was kinda exagerrating on less buffable in the late game, this point is still very apparent in the early levels
1k-1.5k dps is pretty good but still any lead enemy and any form of stun is fucking up your ENTIRE chain of both coord and shared optics
thats the risk of having good ce and map wide range.
ALSO i forgot to say that you still need a big amount of operators to reach that lvl of dps, for engineer you need 6.
