I came back to this game after a while because a new event came out
I do not give a fuck about the event like at all. The story is just horrendously set up, needing to either follow along with the game for years or watch fucking youtube video essays to understand what's going on is fucking stupid.
I also just never gave a fuck about this game's story, it's been boring through the parts that I actually watched and I've just been skipping the last few events I've played because I just really don't care
The fucking pass omg, it's just fucking grinding again so you can pay money to get a few ass skins. This is like genuinely the worst pass I've seen so far because out of the entire set there's like one skin I like and a second decent skin
I'm not doing the fuckass pass because uh I'm not wasting like 10 hours of my life + 5 bucks for some cosmetics
Also, the fucking crates. I wasted 15 bucks on the hallow crates just to not get the singular fucking skin I want (which was the most common rarity)
I don't care about the other crate like at all, every skin in that is just extremely boring and I don't care about any of them
and after getting back into this, how the hell do people genuinely think this game is good
the gameplay loop is just grinding with the most boring shit imaginable over and over again, 90% of the game is literally just fucking waiting and the last bit is usually reserved for when you have the late game towers and on the harder modes. This is genuinely just horrendous design, you do not put your good gameplay after tons of hours of grinding, you put it at the start so the person can get hooked. This game would be dead if it wasn't on roblox because on roblox people are just used to this shit
And like, even when you get to the end the gameplay isn't even that good. Like basically all the towers are just set and forget bullshit that has like no gameplay aside from a single ability that you might press once every 40 seconds
also commander chaining is genuienly one of the worst things in this entire game, it's just a constant minor annoyance that forces you to press a button with no more depth or anything
I've been playing btd6 a lot recently and omg that game is so much better. While the progression does suck a lot, leveling is just dumb. The differance is that you can get a fully maxxed out tower in like a hard or impoppable match while in this game most of your gameplay is going to be grinding
And while btd6 still has a ton of set and forget strategies and towers, you also have like an actual set of fun micro towers
playing btd6 showed me how like fucking boring micro is in this game, I fucking love corvus and the trex with like my entire soul vrah and the micro on those two is LEAGUES more fun than anything in this game.
I like constantly having to choose where to move the trex between multiple tracks and choosing when to set it to strong to deal damage to the zomgs and when to set it back to first so the moabs don't rush past and kill me, doing that whilst also working around my other abilities (usually a glue storm cuz I like that thing or psi abilities). The stomp is really simple but it's stun can add a bunch of depth, wanting you to stall out a bit so you can stun as many ddts so they don't get past
or choosing which abilities currently work the best for their price so I can have enough mana for the next wave with corvus. Like omg this gameplay is so much more engaging and ACTUALLY FUN than just fucking waiting for the graves to get to max level before popping the ability or swapping between riflemen, granadiers and riots based on how well I'm doing and how crowded the waves are. Medics also exist I guess, you kind of just choose 1-2 slots for them and then sometimes airdrop if they're all down

1. You gotta see only like 6-8 2 min long cutscenes to get it
2. Yeah you are just angry but agree not everyone is gonna like it
3. They are all good skins and you act as the guy who set up the rarities
4. No you right the crates are shit
5. The grinding is in its best moment and this low-key sounds like you play only 1 mode with only 1 loadout and if that's so then I get your reason to be angry
6. Clearly you play fallen with 3 DPS that don't require microing and 2 supports.

Just say that you're lazy nerd who hates every game that requires playing more than 1 hour per month. If you actually spent 15$ on crates, it's your personal issue, and devs earn money on fools like you. Storyline is absolutely good, but as long as there are no 1000 hours of braindead fighting between Fraudarrator, Piss Exo and Shitus, it's boring.

Fun fact I play 20-40 minutes of TDS a day. and last week I bought a golden crate. Rn I got 41k coins. and this guy says that grinding is bad

I also prefer tds over btd6, cause tds feels better designed around a more formatted difficulty. Ie btd6 is either a sandbox or micro hell, where as tds manages more of a sweet spot.
