Before I could say that solar eclipse was just ahead of its time
But no it has been five straight years and paradoxum has failed to ever deliver us an event that has met the benchmark solar eclipse set, despite having SO MUCH MORE.
We had two spiritual succesors (solar requiem which is a direct sequel and return of umbra and penumbras, and lunar overture), and both of which no matter which way you put it dont scratch top 5 (I said solar requiem was top 5 now after night 4 released, I take that back the nerfs ruined it completely). Only null and void came close which I dont think paradoxum even intended to begin with.
Lock in paradoxum all your modern events cannot keep getting outdone by solar eclipse, how can I confidently say that it is still the best event in tds history after five years when youve done so much more.

it was literally voidcore difficulty fyi aka a difficulty that probably shouldn’t be applied to an event so calling it overtuned was a basic observation

events historically have always been difficult. Ever since SFOTH heck the first ever event its been well established events are the most difficulty pieces of content in the game. Thats part of why they were so beloved otherwise you get an event thats just a battlepass and nothing else

because paradoxum should not have the only two events from 2021 in the top 3 events of all time five years later (top 2 before n&v took second). Events should get better with time im not seeing that

Ngl I really like this event, the story is good (we dont talk about Penumbras tanking 2 arrows to the heart at the exact same spot), the ending is satisfying (Idk why but something in my want dispatcher DEAD but alr ig), the event tower is cool (stole Archer's last update name too), music is peak, skins are peak (except crates which have like 0.00003% of dropping) and pretty easy gameplay until night 4 which is balanced around voidcore (the other nights are balanced around molten or sth lol)

To be fair the diffuculty Spike is indeed really high between n3 and n4 but imo its better to slowly find your way through a difficult Event than Just First trying it and calling it a day
Although it is very frustrating to loose over and over it feels more rewarding to finally win it
And once again i am very glad the Umbra Storyline ended in this Note with penumbras being the one to end it.
It definitley feels Like a deserved ending to the Umbra Storyline and i think they should Just keep it Like that and not like revive them a second time for a Halloween Event
Considering Theres still other Things Like the children of Exo, Lord sinister or yknow Lord Exo himself they probably have enough content to do for the next couple of Halloweens
So please tds Just end umbras Storyline on this note and Go for a different approach next Halloween and dont make this like *cough cough* Ninjago crystallized where they revived harumi Just for the sake of it. It better to Just leave a Story at a satisfying ending rather than dragging it on
