A loadout in Tower Defense Simulator is the set of towers a player brings into a match. Towers are chosen before the match starts and cannot be swapped once waves are running, which makes the loadout the main strategic decision of the game.

Selection limits

Players choose from the towers they have unlocked, but the number that can be equipped at one time is capped by the player's level. New players therefore operate with a small selection and must pick general-purpose towers, while higher-level players can afford to specialise, for example by bringing dedicated boss damage alongside economy and crowd control.

Roles inside a loadout

A workable loadout usually covers three jobs: early-wave clearing, income generation, and single-target damage for the late waves and for bosses. A loadout made only of heavy hitters tends to fail before the economy can pay for them; a loadout made only of cheap towers stalls once enemy health scaling outruns their damage. Support towers that buff range or damage are taken to multiply the towers already present rather than to add a separate source of damage.

Coordination

In team modes the loadout is chosen against the other players' choices, since duplicates waste slots that could cover a missing role. Agreeing roles before the match is more reliable than reacting once the first difficult wave arrives.
