Both have stun immunity, both have ridiculously high ranges, and both don't really have any hidden detection (Bottom Path Pursuit does, but nobody uses it much.)
The problem is, Pursuit is just better than Ranger.
Its total DPS is higher (1510 DPS for Pursuits, 1250 DPS for Rangers), It's more cost efficient at max level (334.4 for Ranger, 254.87 for Pursuit), and it's cheaper overall ($385,000 for 5 Pursuits, $418,000 for 8 Rangers)
The only things that I see Ranger having has is a more consistent form of Lead Detection (Affects around 6 enemies) and the Range Buff.
Please tell me why you would use Ranger over Pursuit.
What does Ranger have that Pursuit doesn't do better?

Simple you dont need to micro. And ranger works better as a sub dps with other towers. You dont find that luxury with pursuit

ranger's main advantages over pursuit come from its raw burst damage and complete lack of downtime (a major issue that pursuit has). aside from that, pursuit is typically better in a lot of cases if you just need plain dps, but ranger's ludicrously high instantaneous damage is what brings it to be an equal with pursuit
both are still not really meta anymore (Especially because Accelerator, Juggernaut, and Kingpin exist and all do monstrous amounts of damage) but remain strong and viable options, though i don't advise relying on them for most lategame content- 0
One of the smartest users here and the only one that doesn't think that both are meta because of 2022 feats.
