SPW2 - yes, WAS USED for SHC. Kingpin is used for pzp, lost souls, fallen, frost, hardcore, voidocre, pw2, even hiddene nemies and also in <5 slots solo loadouts.

she is still used for solo pw2, she is still insane for solo hc, able to solo up to wave 36 and being in the first skill less loadout, solo PZP is butt easy, i was able to beat lost souls with a random in a lobby i found that’s how brainless it is, fallen, frost and hardcore are genuinely free wins in duo, and kingpin cant even fit in a duo voidcore loadout thats how situational he is

I feel like you fail to realize how universally applicable Kingpin is and, while Engineer is quite versatile as well, Engineer falls far behind compared Kingpin's specialist (well, "specialist") capabilities and overall fails to hold up to him.
She's decent, just not all that, even if she's made some pretty tough challenges possible. Also, honestly, if Operator had lead, Engineer would be entirely irrelevant. Thank God he doesn't.- 0

I feel like the lack of synergy is also what drags Engineer down a bit (whereas Hacker reaps immense profit off it).
Bar for DJ, she doesn't really benefit as much from supports due to 60% of her DPS being her sentries. Medic won't do much for her, Commander won't do much for her, Mercenary Base won't do much for her, and, of course, Hacker won't do much for her.
Most other DPS towers and even those with similar roles benefit from supports much more. Even Kingpin gets more benefit out of supports than Engineer since Mercenary Base's Field Medics make Kingpin's stacks far more durable, even with their disposable nature in mind. She also runs into a similar issue that Kingpin has in which her sentries get totally wiped by multihitting stuns, as rare as these are nowadays.
Once again, still a solid option (Pretty much indisputably A tier), she's just too generalized for her own good, and her versatility can quickly turn into a drawback when paired with her major weaknesses.- 0Edited 19:49, 10 October 2026
"lack of synergy" is such a bs excuse not only does she synergize with like.. every damage oriented specialist cuz she covers every weakness said class can have
but also she doesnt depend on synergy to perform good, engi's sentries have huge health, having more than twice the hp of a lackey or rifleman by lvl 4, so they are insanely tanky + they have shields that basically double their lifetime.- 1

Hacker’s support is decent but is only noticeable by lvl 4, she is the PRIME example of her usefulness being dépendant on what towers are on the map

No she was not. You could solo Hardcore with Sniper, Ranger, Golden Soldier (instead of mini) and Accel, probably more.

she was and still is the meta pick for solo hc, even then with sniper you'd lack alot ofdps, ranger has no hidden and struggles with hordes, gsol lacks alot of dps, accel is the goat but he cant attack flying
