4. Engineer
Engineer is often considered as the best tower for SHC, though it's not. She is a very good early to mid game specialist due to great CE and all detections, but she has nothing to help with Wave 43. Her late-game performance is pretty limited due to her not being fully buffable, and she has no special capabilities to deal with it.
3. Necromancer (Yes, Necromancer)
The reason why Necromancer is so high is because he takes up only 3 slots, has amazing DPS, synergis with Hardcore emaps very well and bypasses defense. He still has a lot of problems - no anti-Soul defense and constant micro usage, but this tower is generally very good for Solo Hardcore.
2. Juggernaut
King of DPS, Juggernaut is an amazing tower for Solo Hardcore too. If you use his Top Path for the entrety of game, you will shred flying and pass every wave with ease, including notorious Wave 43. After Void Reaver Void Rupture stun end, you just replace him with Bottom Path and GG. He also has a very good range AND TAKES ONLY 1 SLOT!
1. Commander
King of Solo Hardcore, Commander, doesn't possess a high DPS, but increases your DPS by insane amount. He has very high DPS buff, which is iextremely useful for towers like Golden Minigunner, and he is also very cheap, makes your loadout very cost efficient and takes up 3 slots.
