My playtime fluctuates quite drastically (playing a lot at some points, barely playing at others). Been playing since 2019 and have quite fond feelings for the time (be prepared for endless spiels on how I miss the olden times. Hah.)

My favourite tower is Slasher, and I hope he gets buffed someday.

If I were to sporadically buff him, I think I'd probably do (and by no means am I saying this'd make his balance ideal):

  • Level 2 (Bloodlust): +Bleed Collapse damage[1], -Cash$200 cost, -0.5s Bleed bleed tickrate
    • Bleed collapsing is somewhat easy to miss in general across all levels, as it currently isn't that impactful relative to regular damage. It should feel more like a collapse, as if an artery just burst, not a minor papercut
    • This would further incentivize placing more Slashers to build up bleed stacks
    • Minor cost reduction is to make getting multiple slightly more feasible and to make it slightly more cost effective (so it's still a buff even with only 1 level 2 Slasher)
    • Bleed tickrate speed increase is actually moreso meant to be a counterbalance to reduced stun duration (see below), i.e. stuns are just as detrimental to building bleed stacks
  • Level 3 (Swords Dance): -50% stun duration
    • In other words, Slasher is still stunned, but recovers quicker. Survival instincts and that sorta stuff, I s'pose.
    • This would somewhat alleviate his susceptibility to being stunned and having even major bosses completely escape his range by the time it wears off.
    • This keeps him from falling into the almost predictable "stun-immune" melee formula
  • Level 4 (Serial Killer): +0.05 EV (listed as Increased Bleed Damage), -Cash$2,000 cost
    • Code would have to be altered to have bleed stacks attributed to the highest level Slasher (assuming it doesn't do that already)
    • This would naturally also increase Bleed Collapse damage
    • Minor cost reduction is to make getting multiple slightly more feasible and to make it slightly more cost effective
    • Do I actually know how this would impact bleed and bleed collapse damage? lol no, maybe I'll calculate it at some point in time but it's mostly just a for-fun idea
  1. ↑ (Base Bleed Damage×(300.9))×(Enemy Max HealthEV) -> (Base Bleed Damage×(450.9))×(Enemy Max HealthEV)
