outlaw and snipers are good DPS dealers and have inmunnity against stomp, so they are useful in moments when the boss stuns the ground towers. but because of high cost (outlaw) and low firerate (sniper) they should be used as end-game towers.
btw there's better options but that depends of the player

Have you fight the boss yet? If yes than u know that the boss can stun cliff tower and plus there is not a whole lot of cash to buy good upgrade for outlaw ok

i know. but jus one of his attacks CANT damage cliff towers, so you can use this. also with the money topic, i know that the quantity is low and you need to spend in cost efficient towers. but you can just leave outlaws at lvl 1 and done
by the way i dont use outlaw in event lol
