Description
[edit]Back to Basics is a modifier that only appears in the Back to Basics challenge. It changes the tower loadout to include only starter towers and makes earlier waves harder. To compensate, starting cash is increased, towers are intended to give back their total cost when sold and late-game enemies are made weaker.
Effects
[edit]The main change in this challenge is that all players start with a preset loadout, with the towers being the Scout, Demoman, Sniper, Soldier and Hunter. These towers use the default skin, and the golden perk cannot be applied. It is also supposed to give a full refund when sold, though this does not work.
