―Gamemode Description

Description

Fallen mode, formerly called Insane mode, is one of the five main survival modes. Fallen mode has 40 waves. When the Hidden Wave is activated it has 42 waves. The mode is named after the Fallen enemies that appear throughout it.

Cash is only gained if an enemy is killed, or in some cases, damaged by a specific amount of health. Additionally, the amount gained is a set amount of cash, which is not always equal to the enemy's health. It uses a slightly different method of distributing cash between players, as enemies split their cash between players, regardless of how much damage the player dealt to it. If, in a duo, one player does all the damage to an enemy, both players will receive 50% of the cash the enemy would normally give in solo. This means that in solo, you receive 100% of the cash when an enemy is killed, or it is damaged enough. With each additional player, this is reduced to 50% in duo, 33% in trio and 25% in quad. If it is a decimal, it gets rounded up or down depending on the decimal value. If it is at least 0.5, it gets rounded up. If it is less than 0.5, it gets rounded down. For example, any enemy would give Cash$10,000 when killed in solo, Cash$5,000 in duo, Cash$3,333 in trio and Cash$2,500 in quad between the players that damaged it.

The health of enemies in this mode scales with the player count, starting at three players. The increase 10% in trio and 20% in quad, with an added set amount of health added on top of that increase. It is applied after attributes, like Bloated, meaning they can affect the health of an enemy. The first increase is not always the stated amount, while the second increase has a varied amount it increases health by, both affected by enemy health.

You can activate the Hidden Wave by following these certain steps, though currently it is disabled and is not meant to appear:

Rewards

For former rewards, see this mode's Rewards page.

The game calculates how many CoinCoins and Experience EXP you receive based on how many waves you survived and if you won a match. During periods of 100% more Experience EXP (Friday – Sunday), any Experience EXP earned is multiplied by 2x through the XP Boost modifier. The VIP gamepass also multiplies any Experience EXP earned by 1.25x through the VIP Boost modifier. These two boosts are additive. Some maps like Mason Arch can also increase all rewards by a specific amount. Regular Experience EXP boosts are multiplicative with other modifiers.

Any rewards that end in a decimal point is rounded down, no matter the first figure of the leading decimal.

Rewards are calculated as:

Coins Reward EXP Reward
Coin850 ÷ (1 + [(40 ÷ Current Wave) - 1]^1.3) + Coin150 (Triumph Bonus) Experience200 EXP ÷ (1 + [(40 ÷ Current Wave) - 1]) + Experience50 EXP (Triumph Bonus)

Triumphing Fallen mode can give out an additional reward, which can be a crate, consumable or ticket. They are meant to be guaranteed, though due to a bug this does not always happen. These items are:

Wave Structure

Currently, Fallen Mode has two wave bonuses, based on the current wave. Between waves 1 to 30, the wave bonus is calculated as:

Cash$300 + ([Waves Completed - 1] × Cash$60)^1.03

Between waves 31 and 40, it is calculated as:

Cash$300 + ([Waves Completed - 1] × Cash$60)^1.07

Depending on player count, the wave bonus is reduced using multipliers. These multipliers are:

Players Reduction per Player Total Reduction
Solo 0% 0%
Duo 15% 30%
Trio 13% 39%
Quad 10% 40%

For example, on Wave 2, the wave bonus is Cash$367.84155407, rounded down to Cash$367. The full number is used in the equation. In duo, it is Cash$257 (Cash$367.84155407 × 0.7), in trio, it is Cash$224 (Cash$367.84155407 × 0.61), while in quad it is Cash$220 (Cash$367.84155407 × 0.6). The wave clear bonus appears when every enemy from that wave was killed and no damage was dealt to the base health. It is 40% of the wave bonus in solo, while for duo, trio and quad it is 20%.

Before 2nd of August 2024, the formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave was:

(Cash$205 + (Waves Completed - 1) × Cash$50) × (1 - 0.1 × Players)

The wave clear bonus appears when every enemy from that wave was killed. It is 35% of the wave bonus in solo, while for duo, trio and quad it is 20%.

Before 23rd of May 2024, the formula for calculating wave bonus on each wave is:

(Cash$180 + (Cash$50 × Waves Completed)) ÷ Players

Before the Overhaul Update, it was calculated as:

(Cash$40 - 4 × (Players - 1)) × Waves Completed

The waves in Fallen mode follow these timings:

Waves Wave Timer Skip Time[8]
1-17 1:00 0:19[9]
18-19 1:15 0:19[10]

Trivia

  • The legacy Hidden Wave could have been activated in Fallen mode by beating the game in 1009 seconds (16:49) or under.
  • Originally, another theme was supposed to play in the mode, likely between Wave 30 - 39, that being Duality. However, it was not accepted by Roblox as it was deemed too "high pitched".
    • The only time the track was played was in the trailer for Fallen mode. It is unclear where this would have actually played in-game.
  • The Commander's dialogue has not been updated despite the changes made to the Wave Structure in v1.67.0. As a result, the Commander references enemies appearing at incorrect times—or not at all. Below are some exemples of this.
    • Commander mentions the debut of Heavy on Wave 5, despite no longer appearing and being replaced by the Fallen Dreg.
    • Commander mentions the debut of Fallen Shield on Wave 27, while it now appears on Wave 30.
    • Commander mentions the debut of Fallen Giant on Wave 24, while it now appears on Wave 16.
