Summary

Subzero was a winter map. It was essentially a winter canyon surrounded by snow cliffs. The entrance and exit of the path began and ended in tunnels within the cliffs.

The map was completely blanketed with snow, with evidence of human settlement having seemingly been blasted with ice crystals. Some parts of the map appeared to have been sunk into the ground. There was also a human built overhang with a brick tunnel through it. There was a broken wooden bridge next to the tunnel. An Antarctic flag could be seen on one of the ice crystals. There was also a snowman in one of the corners.

The path started at one of the tunnels, crossing the sunken bit of the map, taking a U turn through the hangover towards the exit tunnel. Like Canyon, the tunnels were facing in the same direction.

Strategy

  • Cliff towers can be placed on the overhang.
    • As this is where the path curves around, ground troops can also be placed here.
    • Ground troops can also be placed at the first bend of the map.
  • Despite appearances, you can place ground towers on the sunken bit of the map.

Trivia

  • There was a easter egg where the map creators names are in text, next to a penguin from the game Club Penguin.
  • On the elevator to transport you to this map, it was stated that the creators of this map are unknown. However, due to the easter egg, we know who made this map.
  • An Antarctica flag could be seen on an ice mount, specifically the one designed by Graham Bartram to symbolise the neutrality of Antarctica.
    • However, it does not snow often in Antarctica, it is classified as a cold desert, so it is highly unlikely that the environment of this map was an accurate depiction of Antarctica as it appeared to be snowing on the map.
