Description

Ancient Colosseum was a Hardcore-exclusive map present during Hardcore Testing BETA.

Design & Path

Ancient Colosseum took place in an abandoned fighting arena. The entire arena was surrounded by high stone bleachers, which in turn were surrounded by large stone column arches. In turn, the entire arena was surrounded by a large grass baseplate. The arena itself was crumbling and in disrepair. In the center of the map, a large stone statue holding a trident could be seen, with grassy moss growing on it. Large torches surrounded the perimeter of the arena. Fallen columns could also be seen. Various large weapons could be seen around the map.
The grey pebble path began and ended at two entrances into the arena. It took an indirect route around the obstacles of the map.

Strategy

  • Cliff towers are somewhat limited on this map due to the distance from the start of the path.
    • The main cliff spot is the grassy mound near the center of the map. However, to maximize the range of cliff towers from this spot, you will need the DJ Booth.
    • More cliff spots can be found to the side of the arena, but cliff towers here are unlikely to cover a good part of the map.
  • The Ace Pilot and Pursuit are great on this map as the path roughly follows the circling pattern of these towers.
