Castle Outskirts has been removed from the game as of the 13th of October 2019.
Castle Outskirts may still exist in the game's code, though it is no longer officially used in-game. This page has been preserved for historical purposes.

Summary

Castle Outskirts was a versus map that used a similar design style to Castle. The ground was grassy with a few trees planted. The main feature was the two large castle walls and the castle outpost in the corner of the map. The map is surrounded by large grassy hills.

The path starts and ends in tunnels inside the hills. It takes the perimeter route around the castle walls.

Strategy

• The start or end of the map is where most of the ground towers should go due to main corners being here.
  • If your tower has long range, such as the Rocketeer, it can cover most of the map when placed in the middle.
• You can place Outlaws or Snipers on the castle walls or the castle outpost.
  • The castle wall is the best spot for these towers as they can cover a good part of the map from this spot.

Trivia

• This map was likely inspired by the regular Castle map.
• This map and Candy Valley were the first (and probably only) versus-exclusive maps to be added to the game.
  • Both of these maps were removed in the MEGA Update as normal maps gained versus compatibility.
