Summary

The Golden Body Guards is a unit spawned by the Golden Crook Boss at Level 4. In the game, the Golden Body Guards is referred to as just Body Guards, though it has been referenced here as Golden Body Guards to differentiate itself from other Crook Boss and Golden Crook Boss units. As with other units, it starts from the end of the map path and moves towards the entrance of the map.

Whenever there is an enemy in its range, the Golden Body Guards will stop moving to shoot at the enemies. It will continue walking when there are no enemies left in its range. The Golden Body Guards has a spawnrate of 45 seconds.

Appearance

This body guard dons a fedora with a red stripe, a button down tuxedo with a yellow undershirt with a red tie. It has yellow sleeves, and fabric gloves. It has black pants with gray shoes.

Strategy

  • You should not rely too much on the Golden Body Guards because of its slow spawnrate.
  • You will need to wait 45 seconds for a Golden Body Guards to spawn if you place down a Crook Boss and immediately upgrade it to Level 4.
  • The Golden Body Guards can deal full collision damage to enemies with defense, like the Giant Boss.
    • However, the Golden Body Guards's ranged damage is still affected by enemies with defense.
  • The Golden Body Guards cannot detect hidden enemies, but they can still be damaged when the Golden Body Guards collides with them. However, this is likely unfavorable as the Golden Body Guards's damage comes primarily from firing at enemies rather than collision.
    • The Ace Pilot cannot give the Golden Body Guards hidden detection.
    • The Golden Body Guards cannot collide with ghost enemies, like the Soul.
  • On maps with multiple paths, only one Golden Body Guards will spawn per Level 4 Golden Crook Boss.
    • The Golden Body Guards will go down a random path.
  • The Golden Body Guards will struggle against fast enemies, like the Shock or Glitch, as they can run into the Golden Body Guards without taking much damage from its gun.
  • The Golden Body Guards is not affected by any buffs given by other towers whatsoever, such as the Commander.
  • The Golden Body Guards will struggle against any enemy with abilities that damage units, as their health is lower than any amount of damage that these enemies deal.
    • For example, if the Fallen King uses its Stomp attack, and a Golden Body Guards is caught in the attack, it is instantly killed.
