"Deals single target poison dps."
―In-Game Description

Description

[edit]

The Ivy is a unit spawned by the Biologist. The Biologist is able to spawn the Ivy starting from Level 1, as long as it selected in the unit queue. It spawns on ground within the Biologist's range. The Ivy's statistics improve as the Biologist is upgraded.

The Ivy fires out a projectile at enemies which damages and poisons any enemy hit. This projectile deals energy damage and is also explosive, meaning that it can damage multiple enemies at once. Poisoned enemies will receive damage over time and will additionally get slowed down. This slowdown gets stronger with levels. Its poison effect cannot stack with poison from other sources, such as the Toxic Gunner.

Appearance

[edit]

The Ivy is a poisonous and closed flower which fires out toxic projectiles at enemies. It is purple and green.

Strategy

[edit]
  • It is best to use the Ivy when there are large swarms of enemies, this lets it deal the most DPS possible.
  • Despite its description saying that it deals single target DPS, the Ivy instead deals splash damage.
    • It also has worse range and DPS compared to the Sunflower or Nightshade making it much worse for single target.
  • The Ivy can be pretty effective against hordes of enemies, as its explosion deals full damage to all enemies hit by it.
    • However, it does not bypass defense, as its explosion deals energy damage rather than explosion damage.
  • Explosions from the Ivy apply poison to enemies, which deals damage over time and slows them down slightly.
    • This effect cannot stack with poison from other sources, such as the Toxic Gunner. If both are applied at the same time, Toxic Gunner's poison will take priority.
  • Both its explosion and poison can damage Lead enemies, making the Ivy useful at clearing them out.

References

[edit]
  1. Total Elapsed Damage is calculated as Poison Damage × (Poison Time ÷ Poison Tick).
  2. DPS is multiplied by the Biologist's unit queues. As poison can only be applied to an enemy once, poison DPS will only be accounted for once.
  3. 4 Normal DPS + 1.33 Poison DPS
  4. 4 Normal DPS + 1.33 Poison DPS
  5. 6.67 Normal DPS + 2.67 Poison DPS
  6. 13.33 Normal DPS + 5.33 Poison DPS
  7. 13.89 Normal DPS + 6.67 Poison DPS
  8. 27.78 Normal DPS + 13.33 Poison DPS
  9. 30 Normal DPS + 7.69 Poison DPS
  10. 90 Normal DPS + 23.08 Poison DPS
