Description

The Holiday Archer is a tower exclusive to the Christmas 2019 Event. It can be unlocked from the Gift of Sharpness which costs Error creating thumbnail: File missing2,500 Tickets. The gift could also be bought via a limited-time gamepass for Error creating thumbnail: File missing 250. A special gamepass returned briefly during Easter 2020 where you could buy the Holiday Archer for Error creating thumbnail: File missing 350. It wears a green elf hat, a green shirt, and dark green pants. It wields a bow that it uses to attack zombies.

The Holiday Archer shoots arrows that can pierce multiple zombies, making the Holiday Archer a multi-target tower. A limited amount of zombies can be damaged by the same arrow and damage decreases with each zombie it pierces. It also boasts a very high range, despite its very low cost. The main drawback of this tower is that arrows are projectile-based and will take time to reach their intended location. If the zombie has moved out of the way before the arrow could reach them, then they will not be damaged. Arrows also move along a straight path, so be wary of placement.

Strategy

• The Holiday Archer will struggle to hit zombies moving parallel to the tower as the Holiday Archer will always shoot where the zombie originally stood.
• Place on straight paths to make use of the piercing arrow to increase the likelihood that the arrows will connect with more enemies.
  • It's a good idea to set the targeting to Strongest with this tower so that it will be more likely to shoot zombies within the straight path. Keep in mind there is no Last targeting.
• Obstacles do not get in the way of the Archer's arrow. It passes right through them.
• This tower does not have hidden detection. Despite being classified as an early game tower you'll need another tower to deal with the Hiddens/Ninjas.
  • The Soldier is a cheap example of this.
  • The Archer can hit Hiddens if they happen to be in the path of an arrow.
• If the zombie that the Holiday Archer was aiming at is slow enough, the Holiday Archer will not miss, no matter where the zombie is in relation to the Archer.
  • This is mostly the case for slow bosses.
• The Archer can only pierce through a limited number of enemies. Damage also decreases when it pierces through the first zombie.
  • Between Level 0-1 it can pierce through 1 zombie (hitting 2 zombies, but the second zombie will not be damaged as the arrow damage decreases to 0).
  • At Level 2 it can pierce through 3 zombies (hitting 4 zombies).
  • Between Level 3-4 it can pierce through 6 zombies (hitting 7 zombies).
  • At Level 5 it can pierce through 7 zombies (hitting 8 zombies).
• The Holiday Archer's damage cannot be boosted by John's Gorilla Noises ability.

Trivia

• This tower may be a running throwback to Robin Hood. This may also be based on the exclusive Archer tower from Tower Battles.
• This is tied with the Scout and Soldier for abysmally cheap upgrade prices.
• This tower works like Shredder's Knife Throw; it utilizes a projectile that pierces enemies.
• The Holiday Archer's Level 5 upgrade wears the Christmas Beanie and Christmas Coat from R2DA.
• When the Hardcore update was initially released , the Holiday Archer was available for Error creating thumbnail: File missing 1, if you didn't have it.
  • This purchase option was later removed, and anyone that purchased the Holiday Archer this way will have their stats wiped.
