Gladiator

Description

The Gladiator is a short range ground unit that is unlocked by triumphing in the Sword Fight on The Heights (SFOTH) event. It cannot be bought in the store. It has a grey shirt and dark grey pants, symbolising a Roman gladiator. It holds a Claymore sword at its base level.

The Gladiator attacks by swinging its sword, dealing 2 damage at base level to all zombies caught in its swing. This makes it a splash damage tower, though it operates differently from other splash damage towers. However, the Gladiator has a very short range, making it most useful for slow groups of zombies such as Slows but making it weak against fast zombies such as Lightnings.

This is mostly considered an early game tower.

Strategy

• Since the Gladiator has a very short range, it should be placed at bends or turns on the map to make the most use of its range.
• The Gladiator's ability to hit more then one enemy makes it very efficient against groups of enemies, especially slow ones.
• The Gladiator's weakness is fast enemies such as Lightning since they will move out of the Gladiator's range very quickly.
• The Freezer pairs well with the Gladiator since its freezing ability causes affected zombies to remain in the Gladiator's radius longer.
  • The Pyromancer's burn to slow down enemies helps as well.

Trivia

• The Claymore, Illumina and Darkheart are all gears found in the Roblox Catalog.
• This and the Cowboy are the only towers that can only be unlocked by triumphing on their respective maps.
  • The Gladiator, Cowboy and Crook Boss are the only towers that cannot be purchased with coins in the Market.
