Unidentified zombies are appea-
..." - ―Beginning of Wave 51
Description
Controlled zombies appeared to be normal zombies with basic walkspeed and low health for the stage of the game. However, they could turn very deadly in a matter of seconds due to the fact that they spawned Shrike Crystals on death, which stunned your towers. This allowed other zombies to pass through, creating a dangerous situation.
Controlled zombies appeared to be faceless, with only a drooling zombie mouth. They wore a headcrab hat, a grey bandanna and diamond-plated wristbands. Their skin was grey, and they had black pebble torso and legs.
Strategy
- Do not underestimate these zombies, they could easily overwhelm.
- They spawned in hordes so while it appeared that splash damaging towers may have been useful, they can lead to your downfall.
- This is because they could spawn multiple Shrike Crystals, which are immune to explosions, meaning that your towers will be stunned for a while.
- Additionally, the range of other towers may not be able to reach these Shrike Crystals.
- For the Controlleds, simple high DPS towers such as the Minigunner were very useful.
- Additionally, the crooks from the Crook Boss were also useful.
Trivia
- The Controlled seemed to be a reference to the Shrike from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- The Controlled design is most likely inspired from the Headcrab Zombie from the Half-Life Series.
