Description

[edit]

The Clanker was a lead enemy that appeared in the fourth night of the Solar Eclipse Event. It had a decent amount of health and walked at a below average speed. It was also a lead enemy, so many towers were unable to damage it.

Appearance

[edit]

The Clanker was a mechanical humanoid out of grey and yellow metal. Its appearance was a mix of steampunk and normal machinery. It had multiple clockworks on its body. It had a cross on its face similar to classic Normal. It also walked with a cartoonish style.

Strategy

[edit]
  • The Mortar, Level 2+ Pursuit and Ace Pilot can be very effective against this.
    • Towers, such as the Accelerator are also recommended, though it is rather expensive to afford early on.
    • The Pyromancer can also be used to damage the Clanker.
      • Do note that the Pyromancer can speed up the Clanker and other enemies by 15%.
  • The Toxic Gunner is a great counter to the Clanker as both its regular and poison damage can damage it.
    • Additionally, it can also slow down the Clanker.

Trivia

[edit]
  • The name of the Clanker may be a reference to Star Wars, as the Clone Troopers often call the Droids a Clanker.
  • This, alongside the Mega Clanker, are the first lead enemies that do not appear in Hardcore mode.
  • Clankers were considered to be added in The Great Finale during the Lunar Overture Event due to the Golden Soldier being able to handle every enemy present in the map, though this never happened.
  • The face used by the Clanker is inspired by the face Grunts have in the Newgrounds series Madness Combat.
