"Quick and tough enemies are coming in quick!
Get ready for FALLENS!"

Commander dialogue on Wave 20 (Formerly, Nuclear)

Description

[edit]

The Toxic is a fast enemy that appears in Polluted Wasteland II. It has a high health and a fast speed. It has one ability where upon death, it creates an acidic puddle that rapidly heals any enemy that walks through it. It also has the Corpse attribute, making it turn into a Corpse upon death. The Toxic replaces the Fallen in Oops! All slimes! Challenge Map.

The Toxic could be spawned by the Nuclear Monster. It also could have been spawned by the Mystery in Polluted Wasteland II, starting from Wave 21.

Appearance

[edit]

The Toxic has glowing light green skin and a dark green torso. Glowing green veins can be seen on its head and arms. It emits green pulses and particles from its torso and its head twitches when it runs.

Strategy

[edit]
  • Multiple high DPS towers, like the Golden Minigunner, Accelerator, and Engineer are recommended to take down the Toxic.
    • The Accelerator's overcharge does not increase when it is dealing damage to an enemy's regenerated health, making it more effective against enemies which had their health regenerated.
  • The Commander can be very useful at increasing the DPS of your towers, allowing you to deal with the Toxics quicker.
    • The Commander can also be useful against enemies that are healed by the Toxic's acidic puddle.
  • As this enemy is quite fast, slowing towers like the Electroshocker and Sledger can be very useful against this.
  • Be careful of the Toxic's Acid Bath ability as it can rapidly heal other enemies, making it a much bigger threat when there are large groups of enemies.
    • It is recommended to kill the Toxic as soon as possible so it does not heal enemies that are already damaged.

Trivia

[edit]
  • The Commander used to improperly mention this enemy as a Fallen.
  • The Toxic, despite being an acidic enemy, does not have any immunity to the Toxic Gunner.
  • The Toxic is somewhat similar in terms of looks to the Toxic from Tower Battles.
  • The Toxic may be based on the Toxic Zombie from The Final Stand 2, due to both of them having an ability to create a puddle of acid, which heals enemies walking on it.
